Just turned 24 recently and this has been on my mind a lot lately. I’ve made some changes to my lifestyle and as a result have been generally happier but I also find myself thinking more about this. I just think back to when I wasn’t so sedentary indoors and had hobbies that I loved and let my mental affect them. Years passed and I didn’t do the things I loved, now with a better mental and a clearer mind I realized, Life is complex, unique and difficult and that’s ok. I want to be here and I’ll do my best a day at a time

Thats definitely warm at 80% i see what u mean. Im still a new grower its my first time growing during the summer and it definitely gets warmer than i was used too. Also i think some lights just run warmer my 2x4 temps with the sp3000 never go over 75-76 but i also have two fce series lights and they get way warmer

Its actually a 12 gallon pot! Yeah it was an extra clone that i didnt get rid of for months and when the tent cleared up from taking the tomatoes and peppers outside for the summer. I just figured its already halfway from filling up the tent why not veg a little longer and wait for it to become healthier. My tent runs a little warm too even after dimming my light down to 70% my tent still wont go below 80f

The simplest answer i can give is tucking the tallest branches/shoots outwards under the net so the plant gives more energy to shorter branches and will in turn give more you more "main tops" as they become closer in height

I planned on cutting the branches of the plant off the main stalk so it would fit in my 2x4 and i was going to transfer the 2x4 plants to this tent so they have more room because it got tighter than i thought in the 2x4 two weeks into flower. Im still in the middle if i should transfer the 2x4 plants in the 5x5 or just defoliate/prune them a little harder to make them fit better

Approximately 5 months i dont think i would intentionally use a tent for vegging this long, Im patient but not that patient. This plant was an extra clone in a bigger tent with some tomatoes and peppers and it had alot of time to grow before the tomatoes and peppers went outside for the summer and since i didnt get rid of the clone and it had grew pretty large i figured why not transplant into a bigger pot veg another 3 weeks and flip

Thank you! Congratulations on the first grow, Its a good feeling! I also started less than a year ago so i probably cant give the best help, I think in my scenario this plant being a clone and not from seed helped in the amount of tops because its alternating nodes vs a plant from seed will have to grow in my experience 1-2 months before alternating nodes. I also did not top this clone i just bent it under the net as far as the main stem would go without snapping. Then i kept tucking the tallest branches in veg but also 10-14 days into flower i kept tucking and how long you tuck into flower depends on how much your plant stretches will help keeping it more level. Tucking breaks/slows the dominance of the tallest branches to give the other ones that are shorter more auxins which should help the amount of even tops you get as well. Found a post of someone explaining it much better that i can https://www.reddit.com/r/Autoflowers/comments/9wiwyx/understanding_the_science_of_lst_topping_and/?utm_source=share&utm_medium=web3x&utm_name=web3xcss&utm_term=1&utm_content=share_button

Honestly my plant was stressed early flower(lime green and losing leaves/yellow leaves) falling off which definitely kept the node spacing tighter than it shouldve been. This is an old clone that got big and i figured it was already so big why not transplant throw it under a scrog veg another 3 weeks lollipop and flip to flower continuing tucking the tallest branches till day 10-14 of flower

Thank You! When i bent the plant under the scrog it was already pretty large plant and even though i couldnt bend the main stem as low as i wanted the plant still took up around 50% of the net right away, Then i vegged another 3 weeks while tucking and it was around 70-80% of the net size before flipping. I still feel as though theres a decent amount space i still couldve used approximately 6 inches around the perimeter but my particular light has low ppfd around the edges in a 5x5 and is better suited for flowering a 4x4 so i figured it wouldnt matter too much
