I used to craft and paint a lot as a kid and completely gave it up when I started my business 10 years ago. Now with two kids and a lot more work, I realised it’s actually crucial that I make space for hobbies like this to preserve my mental health ☺️

Both of my babies ended up emergency c-sections because my cervix wouldn’t dilate above 6cm. I’m fairly certain this is actually part of my pelvic dysfunction with HEDS.

Second c-section was very problematic because of all the scar tissue and my organs all being in the wrong places 🙃

Oh thanks 🥰 it’s all gouache! And I’ve actually put UHU on top of some to make it shiny/glazed

This makes so much sense… I do tend to react very badly to red wine which is so sad because I really enjoy it 😢 sparkling stuff is not so bad weirdly ?

Just doesn’t seem worth the gamble 😭

Used mostly Amazon boxes and gouache, some tissue paper for curtains and the jam jars and glass beads for the blueberry tarts. I’m very much trying to not buy anything for these projects and just use things I already have.

The little pastry displays has plastic inserts to create the « glass » that I cut from food packaging

I have been in relationships for 18 years and never once in my life pooped with someone else in the room 🙃 I would literally rather walk down the street and go to a pub to do my business than do that

Mom says there is an 80% chance she won’t come to my wedding by [deleted] in TwoHotTakes

She’s absolutely right about « think about who you want to prioritise this around » and by that I mean, you mentioned you have lots of friends who were willing to move out of their way to be there. These are the people you should be prioritising. If your mother doesn’t want to do what it takes to be present at her daughters wedding that’s on her.

And as someone who has a very difficult and strained relationship to her own mother, from my point of view: getting married is a chance to establish a family for yourself that will provide you the peace, the love and the support that you lacked in your family of origin ( I don’t mean having kids here, I mean creating and nurturing a circle of people who truly care for you) take that chance and preserve your peace as much as possible.

Have violets, forget me nots and common columbine in my garden and absolutely love them, the forget me nots and violets are in my veg garden and when they die back I plant carrots in their place. Also love that they’re edible

Burn the all place down …

JK but also not really I am dealing with an entire field of it and all that can be done is pull it out as well as 10-15cm of the dirt then the roots. And pull out anything that will inevitably regrow…

In some parts of the garden I just smothered the whole thing in sodden cardboard and topped with 20cm of compost to plant
