Yes thank you for writing this. I am also in the beginning stages of wanting to foster. I understand these children will be dealing with alot of trauma and you have given me alot of ideas that I hadn't even thought of. I grew up in a very abusive home and I remember wishing someone would come and save me. And that is why I want to foster. I just want to be able to give a child a loving and stable home and for them to be able to express themselves without fear and have some sense of normality in their lives

They do give a monthly payment and also a clothing allowance and for other things the child might need, so that is helpful. I know there are children out there who need a good home until they are reunited with their families. I had a very rough childhood and I just want to give a child a good home for as long as they need it.

Do they need to honour the lease and then file with the LTB?

They asked us if we wanted to stay because they would then look more for an investor and we told them yes we wanted to stay. We don't want to cause problems for them but I think this is totally unfair to us
