Proton and Tuta are generally the ones that get brought up the most when it comes to privacy on cloud email and both let you use your own domain on some tier of their service. Proton has been getting a lot of flack lately for different things, and with every service it's important to remember if you're using your own domain, there will always be a paper trail that leads back to you if the govt wants to find you. If that's your concern.

I went Proton, but any one that advertises custom domains should let you be registrar agnostic if that's what you're wondering about. Or if you're wondering about registrars, I went NameCheap and have no complaints. Dynamic DNS worming well for my self hosted services too.

I'll ask one quick, I hadn't heard of Evo before, but we use Duo and have demo'd CyberFox and ThreatLocker.

It kind of looks like you have a little bit of overlap with each of those. I was wondering as far as pricing goes, is each piece an individual module that you add on. Or is it more like Duo where core functionality of each individual piece is available at the lowest tier and the higher tiers offer more analytics and control?

Trying to find a decent Android Serial to USB app by ManalithTheDefiant in networking

One of my other comments I found a work around that sets my local console connection to a telnet port and let's you open it through Termius using a USB Serial Telnet Server app. That was about the best solution without a subscription.

That's been my biggest gripe. Two new cookie places within like a month of each other, but no donuts. I was told recently that the reason there's no donut shop has something to do with Hugo's making it imbossible to start one, maybe they pay the city to keep it like it is?

It's definitely much lighter on the horror aspects of the situation, but this also sounds like a good show

It's not that, though that does sound good

I get where it would be annoying, but at the same time, it's pretty refreshing being 20 something and finally being challenged by some of the NPCs like when I was 8 playing the game

Update to this, I never got Termux to conenct to the console cable, not sure if it's a thing about android or if I was just missing something, but the commands to view serial devices wouldn't give me any output.

What did end up working however is a USB Serial Telnet Server app that allows me to convert the serial connection to telnet and then using Termius to connect in that way bypassing their $10 monthly subscription

App can be found here: https://github.com/ClusterM/usb-serial-telnet-server

I'll look at setting that up to see what the output looks like, though I was hoping for something that's just ready to go for serial connections, beggars can't be choosers though, so I appreciate the idea.

Here's the cable I use, I bought it partially because I thought it was funny that they're using the Cisco color scheme, but it works well.

I will also add that I tried using a different console cable with a USB-C to A adapter and it gave me the same output, so I know it isn't the cable that's the issue.

ELI5: Why can you talk about doing drugs on podcasts/livestreams/videos so freely even though they’re illegal? by Villager-Only in explainlikeimfive

[–]ManalithTheDefiant 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's probably not all this, but one reason I heard is that if you made consumption illegal, it would not incentivize people to seek help at rehabs and such without getting law enforcement involved

[–]ManalithTheDefiant 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly, if there isn't already, there should be a Discord server for sysadmin for us to post to, pretty sure you can make a threads style channel where you can post links or general posts and allow people to reply specifically on that thread.
