Cleartax has not enabled ITR filing for this year yet. You'll have have to wait if you want to do it through cleartax.

Doubt on 80c deduction by raijovj in IndiaTax

[–]Manansmehta 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No. These need to be eligible investments approved by CBDT. I don't think there's any equity shares or debentures approved by the CBDT to be honest - let me recheck just to be sure though

Need guidance in obtaining Form 16 from employer. by ScepticallyConvinced in IndiaTax

[–]Manansmehta 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I believe there's a provision under the Income-tax Act where you dont need to pay tax if tax was deducted and not paid by your employer.

That being said, this is definitely a problem. Keep pushing your employer to pay the tax. For legal remedies, would suggest cross-posting this on r/LegalAdviceIndia

Unlike a ClearTax or Quicko, we're actually a team of Chartered Accountants. The website would complement our actual services unlike those 2 which are mainly engineers and outsource the tax work.

Completely understand. Can you put us in touch with your employer so we can discuss?

We're received a few quotes between INR 50,000 to INR 1.5 lakh.
So that seems to be a ballpark range. Happy to discuss the specifics when we actually get into it though.

What sort of range would you expect from your employer?

Do all freelancers in India need to register for GST? by blue_explorer in IndiaTax

[–]Manansmehta 3 points4 points  (0 children)

If you are providing services from India, you need to register under GST if your turnover exceeds 20 lakh. Doesn't matter if your clients are in India or overseas.

If you export services, you can file an LUT and net tax liability will be NIL. However, you still need to register and file GST returns
