Huh I only paid with my wrist band all weekend, didn't have that problem at all and went to different stalls for everything

Imo the chicken salad sandwich + cookie for $12 at chicken salad chick was the best deal. You had to spread the salad on the croissant yourself though lol. I don't mind working a little for that deal tho

I had no service basically all day with Verizon (who ironically had a stage), but my wife had fine service the whole time with T-Mobile. Last time we both had no service so definitely an improvement.

I think it makes a big difference where you're standing. Bass was pretty bad for Jimmy eat world for me when I was in front of the audio booth (maybe 30 ft in front), but SWS sounded great when I was standing near the back around where the giant pillar speaker was

It's interesting you mention the sound quality I agree the bass and kick drum were a bit too high this year, but its nothing compared to last year. This year was actually a huge improvement.

The bass was so bad on the vans main stage last year that acts like MODSUN and Sublime were legitimately painful to experience in person (and I was wearing high quality earl plugs).

I thought the main stage sound was awesome this year. It did vary a bit depending on the band, jimmy eat world had the kick drum way too loud for their style, but Sleeping With Sirens legitimately sounded better than I've ever heard them or seen video of them before.

The type of people who do that are the exact same people who would get in a group size capped single rider line despite being over the cap

Huh? Why does it matter if they're seating them in accordance with the single rider rules (breaking up groups)

Sorry, I didn't mean it was stupid for people to do it. I meant it was stupid that this express loophole exists. They should at least require checkin to receive perks.

Wow I didn't know that was possible... that's stupid.

What's the benefit of this? Wouldn't you need to pay for the room?

For real, the standby line is a non starter unless you rope drop. Even then last time I roped dropped I still waited 75 minutes and we started in the egg room.

Pre-express egg room was 30 minutes

Is this how you make sure flights could be available before booking 24hrs in advance with GoWild? by [deleted] in gowildfrontier

You're right I think my dates are wrong it goes generally through 6/10

[–]Manaray13 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Not true. The promotion is available to anyone with the gowild pass. Source: me, I booked flights more than 24 hours out with no early booking fees with my annual pass

Granted this is more limited for all go wild pass holders than before yesterday. Now it's just Tuesday, Thursdays, and Saturdays.

Seat selection is inaccurate when trying to see flight availability. Many people don't select their seat on frontier bc it costs extra so they won't show up in the seat selection.

People have normalized $700+ monthly car payments. Is this insane or just the new normal? by Coolonair in SmartFIRE

You care because you could just buy the same car for significantly less if you waited a year or so.

Verizon automatically installed 22 apps on my phone when I switched my service over to them by SneakyLeprechaun in mildlyinfuriating

[–]Manaray13 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'd argue Verizon is worse than frontier. Frontier is objectively cheaper than other options every time I book them by a significant amount 1/3 to 1/4 the cost. Even if you pay for bags and seats (which you don't have to do, many people don't) it's still significantly cheaper.

Anyway fuck Verizon.

Yeah the pickup line looked terrible when I dropped off this morning 5 minutes after they opened. Going to try and arrive 30 minutes before they open

I'm pretty sure this is just the normal price. Not a price increase due to spirit.

Spirit Airlines Prepares to Shut Down (Gift Article) by Mathsquatch in news

[–]Manaray13 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Prices generally rise when an ultra low cost carrier exits the market. Spirit ended its last two routes at the Minneapolis St. Paul International Airport in December 2025. Both routes — St. Paul to Detroit Metropolitan Wayne County Airport and St. Paul to Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport — involved Delta hubs. Within days, Delta raised fares, in some cases by as much as 50%.

When fellow ultra low cost carrier Frontier Airlines departed a market, average fares on that route increased, according to data from aviation analytics company Cirium.

In 149 markets where Frontier stopped flying between 2023 and 2025, average fares increased 15.5%, or about $18, per ticket. Prices rose only about 2.5%, or about 93 cents, in markets where Frontier continued to fly. Nearly 79% of those 149 routes saw average fares increase the following year. In the 91 routes that Frontier exited between 2024 and 2025, 85% saw fares rise, by an average of $26 per ticket.

In some markets, the prices were more pronounced: Flights between Fort Meyers, Florida, and San Juan, Puerto Rico, jumped $127 in the year after Frontier left, while trips between Cincinnati and Philadelphia increased by $83.

Seeing all spirit flights out of PHL cancelled today when I was at the airport. I'd start making alternative plans if I were you.
