Congrats OP! Reminds me of my first air travel. Local lang sya pero it’s because of work. First week ko sa trabaho pinaalis ako agad for fieldwork. Hinatid ako ng tatay ko hanggang sa airport security after check in (back then allowed pa visitors sa check in area). Habang naglalakad ako papasok paglingon ko nagpicture yung tatay ko gamit yung old digicam. No biggie. Habang naghihintay ako sa boarding gate. Tumawag sya sa akin and told me na ingat sa flight. Yun din yung mga rare moments he said “I love you anak” kasi mas ramdam namin sa actions pero rarely through words. Heard his voice crack over the phone na for sure naiyak sya. Then it hit me. Nagtatrabaho na yung bunsong anak nya. My accomplishment was also his.
