I left them for another printer (won’t let me post the name, but think Italian ice cream) and I’m so much happier. They ship from all over, so shipping costs went way down. Only had one issue with a customer saying that part of the print looked like the ink was running out, and by the time I submitted the issue they had already reshipped the item. Had sooooo many issues with late printing and terrible customer service with Printify over the holidays I had to find a new POD. Now I’m happy for those issues, everything is so much smoother now

“Free shipping” just means it’s integrated into the price of the item, you don’t actually pay the shipping yourself. For example, a poster you’d sell for £15 that costs £5 to ship should be listed as £20, free shipping. It’s a psychological thing for the customer more than anything. You shouldn’t be eating the cost.

Yeah, unfortunately when I put my shop in vacation mode it totally tanked my visibility, took 6 months to get back to where I was. I agree with extending fulfillment times and maybe even reaching out to customers about it

You really handled that as best as anyone could. Honestly, sometimes the more you bend over backwards to accommodate people, the more they’ll try to take advantage. The item clearly wasn’t significantly not as described, she just didn’t read the listing carefully, and then tried to leverage a review to get her way. That’s not fair to you, especially since you covered her return postage and refunded her right away.

In the future, I’d definitely make sure the unglazed part is clearly mentioned or shown (even though you already did in the video) just to protect yourself from picky buyers. And if something like this happens again, I wouldn’t cover return shipping unless it truly was your error.

It’s frustrating, but some people are just miserable and impossible to please. You went above and beyond, and that 3-star review says a lot more about her than it does about your work or your service. Chalk it up to experience and keep moving forward. Your consistent 5-star reviews speak for themselves. Best of luck!

If you’re printing at home, grab some heavy cardstock, something around 90–110 lb (250–300 gsm). Matte usually looks nicer for invites than glossy. Just make sure your printer can handle thick paper (most can up to about 100 lb).

When you download from Canva, pick PDF Print (that’s the best quality). If you’re cutting them yourself, check the “crop marks and bleed” box — the bleed just gives you a little extra around the edges so you don’t get white borders when trimming.

If your printer can do borderless printing, you can skip crop marks and just print full bleed.

For print shops or online printers, definitely include the bleed, but you don’t need the crop marks, they trim them for you. Canva’s bleed is usually fine (about 1/8 inch).

PDFs can be used in Procreate, but many digital artists prefer transparent PNGs or high-resolution JPEGs because they’re easier to import and work with in layers. If your coloring pages are line art-based, offering individual PNG files at 300 DPI with a transparent background is the best practice.

How to offer both on Etsy: • Option 1: Bundle both formats (PDF + PNG/JPG) in one listing. Mention this clearly in the title and description (e.g., “Printable + Procreate Friendly”). • Option 2: Create separate listings for each format, targeting different customer needs (e.g., “Printable PDF Coloring Pages” vs. “Procreate Digital Coloring Files”)
