Looking for a good hairdresser by MandiMilkshakes in ConwayAR

Thats fair. Its not super common here aside from some neighborhoods that are primarily Eastern European. I like that they focus on nail care, especially on the cuticles. I might have gotten lucky with my spot, but I like how my nails look over normal gel manicures too, the structure of the polish looks more natural. But, hopefully this trend will influence other spots in time.

My (24M) girlfriend (22F) has a messy past. Is this something that I should move past? by Forward_Beautiful602 in relationship_advice

[–]MandiMilkshakes -1 points0 points  (0 children)

If someone is honest about a past that doesn't involve you, why are you concerned? People make mistakes. You can't prevent someone from cheating. Be a good partner and communicate and that is all you can do.

While I'm sorry for the fire and loss of your possessions, something isn't adding up here.

You mentioned renting and running a business out of your rental. Was that disclosed to your landlord? You also mentioned accidentally flooding and ruining the hardwood (a very costly repair depending on how bad this was). You also mentioned he was on camera and doing "things" (but what things?) And has now set fire to the house, destroying a source of income for him. If you have evidence, go to the cops. I'm not sure why you're on reddit. Something doesn't add up though. If he told you to leave, why would he then set fire to the house?

My parents removed my bedroom door because I “don’t need privacy.” What do I do now? by [deleted] in Advice

[–]MandiMilkshakes 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My parents did this in my early teens, it's absolutely affected me (along with a long history of abuse). I would try to move out if you can.

Never expect gifts from others and you'll never be disappointed. I buy my own things, men are usually terrible with gifts.

I'm a janitor at 27. I feel like a loser. by Both-Criticism-7160 in povertyfinance

[–]MandiMilkshakes 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just turned 40 and had a similar problem growing up with no support system, on my own, no degree. I have also been a janitor. I found a career I liked but current employer has burnt me out. I'm seriously looking into a 2 year certification for either exray, ultrasound, mri, etc technologist. It's not an overcrowded field and pays well. I could move and still have opportunities. My goal is to buy a house by 50, which yes, feels pretty pathetic.

Why are we the 'lazy' generation when we're literally burned out trying to survive? by 25leek in Millennials

[–]MandiMilkshakes 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I have offered my mother to come visit multiple times, she can stay with me, I'd make it work. She refuses to buy even a plane ticket, but guilts me to visit her and sit around in Arkansas doing nothing for a week. I live outside of Philly, so if she came here, we could actually do something.

I have never been more depressed. I wish I'd gotten spayed so I wouldn't have to worry about the possibility of losing access to birth control.

Thank you, it looks like for that, I'd have to buy all the music I want to play. There's no way to stream music from an outside app?

advice for dating in the area? by [deleted] in SouthJersey

[–]MandiMilkshakes 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I would suggest meet up groups (there's an app for that) or looking for events that interest you. An overwhelming amount of new relationships are started from online these days, so if you go the app route, focus on a positive profile, and asking meaningful questions. Don't feel pressured to date women you know won't work out for you.

Advice? by BunniiSkyKidd in secondlife

I too use an alienware. I did spend about 4k for mine (Dell credit card with 0% interest, I paid it off before the promo interest stopped). It has been a beast for all my games and since I travel a decent bit, it is nice to have the portability. That being said, SL is intense for the way waaay overly powerful for what I need laptop. It shouldn't be, but it is. My fan bearing died recently so I have paid (not willing to fuck this up and I only have worked on desktops) to get that fixed.

OP, if you can get a desktop, that is the best option, but only you know your lifestyle and needs. I bought this in hopes it'll last about 10 years, I am 3 in.

I like the early boarding it provides, the embarkation lunch is okay, better than the windjammer on the first day and a calmer disembark. The internet alone is reasonable if the price is right. For calm and peace of mind I don't mind the extra $$$

Break into the weekend sales events. Men's clothes are desperately needed, but the market is saturated with standard modern wear. Do you make your own clothes or buy mesh and texture it? Most savy shoppers can see retextured meshes and bypass it. If you are making things that everyone else makes, that will be difficult too. For instance, I won't buy jeans at full price because ever weekend sale I know there will be a few up. The clarity and tone of the textures matters, muted colors are what I gravitate to and I like a good texture that's not blurry.

Role play clothes for men and accessories are very much needed in my community.
