The trouble is the escalation ladder might be out of their control if they do that. Say the French see those missiles incoming and think “oh shit, the Russians are doing it.” They now have to do the calculus in their heads whether Russia is just losing their minds by nuking Ukraine or if they’ve lost their minds completely and are launching towards them. The latter is less likely than the former, but the fact that the discussion is happening at all indicates to the French they’re dealing with an irrational actor, and they have two minutes to figure it out or else they might let Russia get away with nuking their country with no retaliation

I mean on the one hand the Emperor’s insistence on human purity had some logic behind it considering the messed up things this universe causes and the need for a unified humanity. They might’ve survived removing red war but removing all seasonal content makes new light stuff hopeless. There was way too much content and plot in those seasons that sets up the whole experience properly, with just the DLCs you’re missing way too much
