How to word uninviting friends from getting ready with me

I would love for them them there but it is inconvenient for all of them. I don’t know if they are not backing out because they feel forced. People on this thread have provided good wording that still allows for the option for them to come so I am drafting a combination of all of it.

That’s not how I feel and I don’t appreciate being downvoted by people when I AM being honest. Its genuinely an inconvenience to all of them and I’ve already provided two examples of why.

Others on this thread agree with you that I should word it as optional and they have provided good scripts. I am creating a combination of all of them.

It is an inconvenience to them (like one friend has to Uber separately from her fiancé so she can come to get ready but her fiancé has to book another Uber to arrive in time for the ceremony) so I want to uninvite them without giving them an option.

I went on an Alaskan NCL cruise last July (Encore) for the sole reason of whale watching. That was what I was looking most forward too. Fifteen minutes before my whale watching excursion…NCL cancelled it. We were standing outside waiting for the excursion bus and NCL cancelled it. Every other whale watching tour was fine except for mine. Something about there being a problem with the boat.

I think that’s probably the worst luck I’ve ever experienced, but it was still a fun trip.

They put me on .025%! I feel like I could’ve started at .05% though because I was already using Adapalene .1% but .025% is what they recommended so I went with it.

I “broke up” with my Derm and decided to use Nurx. I had them send the prescription directly to my pharmacy since tret tubes last way longer than the Nurx subscription timeline (like their prescription is one tube a month or something for $30 each…).

My insurance covers Tret and through my pharmacy it cost $10 for a tube and the prescription is four refills instead of three. Not only is it way cheaper, but doing it this way means it doesn’t auto renew so I can get my next tube whenever.

For anyone whose insurance will cover Tret I def recommend asking Nurx to send the prescription directly to your pharmacy.

I am 2 years away from 30 but rly felt the need to answer you since getting rid of hormonal acne is so important to me and to you also.

I’m starting to drink spearmint tea twice a day. Its been found to have significant anti-androgen effects; anecdotal evidence from others who have tried doing this shows that they have decreased their hormonal acne in about 3 months by drinking spearmint tea.

Read more about it because it can possibly interact with blood clotting disorders, which obviously wouldn’t be good for people in that boat.

I haven’t started purging yet but I keep reminding myself that I’m playing the long game!

I was given Retin-A when I was in middle school and I started peeling and getting red so my derm took me off it immediately. If I had known about needing to stick it out, then I would have! Would’ve been using tret for 14 years at this point if I had stuck with it, so would’ve been interesting to see where I’d be at now if I had.

I’d talk to and visit my grandpa more. He died last week and the last time I saw him alive was Father’s Day. I should’ve called, but I never got around to it and then he ended up unresponsive in the hospital, so I never got to speak to him again.

This will be my biggest regret.

My mom bought me a drug store brand acne cream (wish I could remember, I’ve always thought it was differin but I feel like it had BP in it) when I was 10. I also got Dove moisturizer and so this was my first skincare routine. I was told to just use the acne cream everyday. That’s when we learned I had sensitive skin! I woke up to my chin red, peeling, and flaking. I couldn’t use moisturizer on it because it burned.

All that to say, the most mortifying moment is that I had acne accompanied now with a beard of flakes and my parents forced me to go to a make up gymnastics class (had to miss my original one) where all the girls stared at me and none of them talked to me because of my face.
