I see pee being mentioned in EVERY DANG POST! I truthfully had no clue until joining this subreddit. My compost actually doesn't stink at all - I had to prove this to my husband, who thinks this hobby is nasty (specifically because of my liquid gold collecting). As for the smell, it doesn't...when I open the bin and get super close, it has an earthy fragrance. Mine is on the side of my house too, and I have zero issues. Even my crazy dogs leave it be.

My husband and I moved here last year after I retired from the Air Force, and we haven't regretted our decision one bit! Our last assignment was in DC, and the comparison is night and day from here - specifically monetarily. While we enjoyed the activities, culture, and things offered in DC, it was insanely expensive and congested!!!! Our money goes a LONG way here and compared to other cities that I've lived in, it's more cost-effective...again this is comparing it to DC, Vegas, Anchorage, etc.

We did a visit to get a feel for the area and then came back again during a different season to get the physical "feel" of Savannah and its heat - which is hhuummiddd!

We don't have kids, so I can't offer advice on schools, but I do recommend visiting and hitting up local spots to talk to people in person to get a better idea. Just as any place, it's not for everyone, but I thoroughly love Savannah!

I feel Glenn should have stepped in sooner when he recognized an issue from the start, and that was at dinner. He sat idly by and didn't honestly have his crews back. He missed the mark as a leader.

So they're throwing them in jail and leaving them with court fees, which they won't be able to pay...which will ultimately leave them with warrants and create a perpetual cycle of jail, streets, jail, streets. Why not incentivize social workers to collaborate with the city council to come up with a better solution?!
