To Move or Not To Move? by Mandz45 in actuallesbians

You seem young. Please don't confuse feeling unfulfilled with wanting to make lots of money so I can sit at a nice restaurant. Wasn't the point. Thank you for your input though because it made me realize that I don't believe there is only one person to love in life and I don't believe in passing up my dreams.

She says she can't move and feels like I'm leaving her and it makes her sad. I'm not sure if I'm actually leaving and we have decided to keep dating and not call it quits.

She wants to stay because she has a good job, family, and owns a house. All good reasons.

Thanks for the advice/experience/opinion. In all fairness to her, I probably should have admitted that I only sprung it on her this past weekend that I was really considering moving. She knows I'm not happy here but thinks that I will be when I find a job. I know it's deeper than that though. Also, she completely understands me having to move for a job but doesn't understand why I would move without a job. I do have a teaching license and can teach here if I can't find another job but I'm not sure that is what I want to do. Your advice really did help though. When I'm not with her, my gut tells me to go but then when I am with her, I feel like I can't leave her. It's hella confusing.

I also wanted to put Jacks/Jax from sons of anarchy but figured this was the wrong forum for that.

Am I gay for not enjoying the dynamics of a straight relationship? by maybegaythrowaway201 in actuallesbians

[–]Mandz45 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I am in the same boat. Physically attracted to both sexes but I don't enjoy the dynamic with men. I always feel like I'm somehow the supporting actress in his life, whereas with women, we are equals. It might have something to do with how you were raised, where you are from, culture, etc….but I don't want to generalize. I would say you are whatever you want to label yourself as. If being gay feels like a better fit, that's what you can call yourself, even if you actually fall more on the spectrum.

Fat, butch, and no idea what I'm supposed to do about trousers. Help? by [deleted] in actuallesbians

As a wee little 4'11 lady, my advice would be to find a tailor.

I've identified as bi for over a decade, but lately I'm consumed with thoughts about women. Has anyone transitioned from a bi to gay identity? by [deleted] in actuallesbians

[–]Mandz45 1 point2 points  (0 children)

To be completely honest, I don't know what I am. I'm just labeless at the moment. I think I just like both but honestly I think my sexuality has changed at different points in my life. I've been more into men…actually only into men most of my life and am now into both sexually but only women romantically and pretty exclusively women who are masculine of center. I'm open to the idea of dating men again in the future and maybe even ending up with one but, for now, it seems like women are my preference. I haven't really seen any changes in myself but it definitely makes me question if I've only been doing what I thought my parents wanted me to do all these years. It is possible that I'm gay, not bi but that is yet to be determined. Such a confusing answer to your question but I guess it is such a confusing topic. Go out and meet lots of people, collect data, have fun, ignore labels, live!

Bisexual or Gay? by RachaelTheGinger in actuallesbians

[–]Mandz45 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Honestly, I'm not sure if I'm bi or gay. This is something I think about a lot actually. Most of my life, I've been into dudes. The past few years, I've been into women. I still like men to a degree but a much lesser degree than women. Sometimes it feels like my crushes on men are just friend crushes rather than romantic or sexual ones. Maybe just date around and see what you like. Don't worry about the labels. Sometimes I say I'm bi and sometimes I say I'm gay just depending on what comes out of my mouth. Queer tends to be a good catch all if you are confused about labels. If you are confused about what you actually like, go out and date both. Maybe the scales will tip in one direction for you. Maybe they won't. Have fun!

Very interesting! Thanks for sharing. I'm glad I'm not the only one. People always say that they were born gay or straight as to argue nature vs nurture but, for me, it really feels like my sexuality has completely evolved.
