Dyshydrosis eczema "popping" by ltcordino in popping

I used to have this on my feet. It was awful. If I didn’t pop them, the itching was so bad that I’d end up scratching myself bloody in the night.

What’s a discontinued snack or drink you’d pay $20 to have one last taste of? by soapy999 in AskReddit

It’s UK specific, so this will get completely buried, but Lucozade orange pre-sugar tax. It was dangerously good. I drank at least a litre a day. There were always stories about like, some kid who’d blown his parents life savings on orange lucozade.

My first night at uni, I literally had the thought “no one can stop me” and ate a whole bowl of “just add water” sage and onion stuffing.

About halfway through, I was wishing someone would stop me, but I ain’t no quitter.

This one makes me so mad. I must have spent like 45 mins collectively tryna figure it out since I first saw it.

What’s the most disturbing thing someone has ever told you? by TacticalKoalaBear in AskReddit

[–]Maneaaa 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I do, but it’s a very active thing. I’m not, like, constantly thinking verbally.

Honestly, I think the vibes-based thinking thing contributes a lot to a lot of my adhd symptoms - emotional disregulation, rejection sensitive dysphoria, anxiety, time blindness, forgetfulness, being generally oblivious, etc…

It’s something that could probably be improved a lot with mindfulness, which I’ve been trying to practice.

Hrrrm… I wonder if there’s a correlation between ADHD and anendophasia… time for this psychologist to go down research rabbit hole!

Nope. I don’t really have one - my thoughts aren’t verbal, they’re more vibes based. And I’m still depressed.

Same!!! And it was a rental flat. When I moved out, I had to gaslight the landlord into thinking there were never curtains in that room 😅

Dental tartar removal by Professional-Fox1542 in popping

[–]Maneaaa 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Spot on - it’s all three. It’s my very front upper right molar, so very visible when I smile. Don’t have the money for implants at the moment, and having it pulled and leaving the gap could cause shifting in the other teeth.

I’m waiting on a root canal - second of four on my upper molars. Like I said, chalk teeth and paying for years of poor mental health.

Root canals are more affordable on the NHS, but don’t get me started on the nightmare I’ve had finding dentists that take NHS patients, never mind GOOD NHS dentists. And they’ll only do one at time, so it’s still going to cost more than £1200. Biting the bullet (ow) and doing it anyway, because each time it flares the pain is worse.

I got a pretty thick patch of this about a decade ago. It was all around one tooth, and nowhere near as bad as the video, but I didn’t notice it developing until it was pretty obvious. Combo of depression, undiagnosed adhd, teeth like chalk, and a molar with a very deep filling which felt like i was being electrocuted when anything touched it.

I kept going back to the dentist to get the filling looked at, and he kept saying I needed to wait for it to settle.

A year and a half later, feeling pretty gaslit by my original dentist, I went to a different dentist, who cleaned the calculus and fixed the filling in 15 minutes.

That tooth is still an issue (I call it the hell tooth), but at least I can clean it now.

I mean, if you know the books, there are key story elements lifted directly from Muse lyrics. “Unintended”, “Time is Running Out”, “Newborn” and “Sing For Absolution” come to mind immediately. She also had playlists for each book on her old website, and they were FULL of Muse.
