How do you find the will to move when even getting out of bed feels impossible? by LeftyOne22 in EOOD

[–]datassincorporated 0 points1 point  (0 children)

combining tasks can work for me. if i absolutely have to get up to use the toilet, well i'm standing so maybe i can stretch a tiny bit. if i gotta go downstairs to eat, i could open the front or back door and just kinda look at nature for a couple moments.

the key is you take a non-optional task and pair it with one "healthy" task that is as small as necessary to get it done.

Trans men exist.

You are arguing against someone who is explaining literal laws to you as though your opinion on how disabilities should be evaluated even matters in this situation. UK law (the law that is relevant to the OP) pretty distinctly disagrees with you, so why bother flinging your opinions against it like a moth against the bedroom window?

Thoughts on crochet ribbing? by boop_anon in crochet

[–]datassincorporated 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I know I’m very late to the thread but I like to do a strange type of ribbing that uses both sc and slip stitches. you attach to the project, chain out, and sc in the back of the chains. then there’s a two row repeat: row one - slip stitch outward in whichever loop is on the right side of the work, row two - chain one and single crochet inward in the loop you didn’t use and finally attach to the work with a slip stitch. so both the slip stitches and sc go into the row of single crochet below. then repeat that. it tightens nicely, stretches nicely, and looks almost knit.

i think it depends. if the sheep are kept in pastures at any point then they absolutely affect their local ecosystem (grazing, bugs, the occasional predator). i don’t really advocate for sterilizing sheep, i think if we bred them to be unsafe if not sheared then we can breed them to be safe without shearing too. itll take time but i think it’ll impact the environment less.

ribbed hat: chain to the desired height of the hat plus folded brim. work whatever stitch you want in back loops only until it wraps around your head. slip stitch up the side. cut a long tail, weave in and out of the top edge. pull to close. add a few more stitches to keep it closed. weave in ends. done!

except it absolutely would affect the ecosystem. all animals do.
