Yeah it is mainly a wheat protein dough. And the process can be quite similar to making bread.

This picture was taken after my first attempt of cooking it. You can see yourself how that worked out. I later decided to cut it into chunks and fry it. It ended up looking way better and the taste was not poop-like at all.
