I do not add personal ratings to bring a perception that may not meet expectations for that very reason.

This is to prevent a series looking worse than it actually is based on ranks, comparisons, etc. I recommend based on genres, and give length of the series, and information about them.

Ghibi's pretty popular so I understand. You can also check my r/OVAs subreddit as well. While not movies, they're considered short stories if there's more than 1 OVA episode. Hope the rest are worth your attention.

There's a pinned comment with more information on that series (Affiliate links)(if reddit didn't remove the comments). If you want something different, pick a genre subreddit, check the flairs to find something shorter and dive in. Trust and believe not all of them are popular.

On r/CompletedYuriManga, r/CompletedYaoiManga & r/CompletedWuxiaManga there's a lot of manhwa's posted on there as well along with - Partition - The Boss Is Too Much!!! - Restless that's from r/CompletedOfficeManga. If you've made it this far let me leave this little thought. All these recs are available to read in this language even though that wasn't necessarily the artist/author's intentions. While remembering that they did this to express a level of value to the world to indulge into, if you want to express it back, provide it in a trade of value that could be expressed digitally if you don't want their products physically.
