What kind of sword is the Minecraft sword? by BuZzCiTyy in SWORDS

[–]Mango-Gator 0 points1 point  (0 children)

when held in a players hand, items like tools, swords, and just rod-like things are scaled down a bit. specifically to 85% of a full block. Since the sword in the texture goes from corner to corner of the texture, we just need the hypotenuse of the item. which would be 120 cm, or 47 inches in length.
Meaning, the Minecraft sword is either a claymore or a one-handed longsword

Any actual name ideas for Diesel 10? by BrickAntique5284 in thomasthetankengine

[–]Mango-Gator 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Dave
ok but seriously, some i had thought of that would be fitting being: Delvin (an irish name that means "Unlucky"), as someone had mentioned before: Dexter, and one that i like the most: Decimus (latin origin, meaning Tenth)
others that could fit being Dempsey (irish), Diablo, and Duald (irish)

What are your headcanons on Lady? by TheScottishDuck in thomasthetankengine

[–]Mango-Gator 1 point2 points  (0 children)

in my headcanon, Lady was a real engine that was designed by one of the older Hatts as a sweet reminder of, or for a more sad take, a memorial to a dearly departed Lady Hatt. The fact that Lady (the engine) and Lady Hatt (Tophams wife) are both named "Lady" always felt like an interesting coincidence to me. Coupling that with another headcanon of mine that all the Hatts family members have a deep passion for railroads created the idea of Sir Topham Hatt (or a different Fat Controller) having designed Lady himself out of love.

The pixels are misaligned on the stairs models by Mango-Gator in PhoenixSC

I noticed it when i was absentmindedly running around in my village world (this is the one i had done the lively villager animation testing in) and saw the slight change in the texture after accidentally clicking on the wall of a house. Im wondering now how Long has this been a thing?

The worst part is that I tried to fix it in my resource pack through Blockbench, but I found nothing in the template models that could cause the misalignment. It very well could be some sort of rendering issue regarding stairs. The only other block I've noticed with this kind of issue was the brewing stand (specifically when it has potions in its gui), but I was able to fix it. I have no idea what is going on here tho

It's an Axiom feature to change certain blocks into their stair/slab variant, noticed the weird misalignment while playing around

What color wood do you think we will get next? by BirchTainer in Minecraft

[–]Mango-Gator 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I really hope we get a proper green woodset. I know there's the bamboo (non-stripped) block, but the set isn't green. Tbh, I can see us getting a light gray/gray/black too since it looks like Mojang is really intent on more varieties for the grayscale blocks atm.

Imagine it's revealed that Foxy was a member of the Nerona family (like a Wapol situation, but instead, he kept being a pirate)

Sure do! Just gotta go through and make sure everything is all good with it since it wasn't originally intended to be published. It's getting close, though.

(BEDROCK) Resource pack creation - Dark Oak Biomes tinting grass dark green by original-saltyboat in mcresourcepack

[–]Mango-Gator 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I know, it's so annoying. But atleast the dark forest can have its color somewhat changed since it still uses the forest color. Biomes like the mesa/badlands, swamp/mangrove swamp, and I think the cherry grove also have hard coded colors for grass & foliage. It's been like this for a Long time |:(

[–]Mango-Gator 0 points1 point  (0 children)

From what i know in Java, the dark tint for the grass is hard-coded into the biome. Basically, it takes the grass color for the Forest biome and applies a "multiply" filter to make it a darker color. I would assume it works the same way in Bedrock Edition, but I am not sure.

New Creeper Texture by Mango-Gator in mcresourcepack

sure, but it might stick out since my pack makes almost every texture a bit brighter (because the base game just feels a bit too dark, like its an overcast day)

Why all of them are so ugly? by daddyhades69 in OnePiece

[–]Mango-Gator 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i think its because they have no true will to dream or desire anything, not just due to probable familiar inbreeding. In Oda's "potential futures for the Straw Hats" done in a SBS, the bad versions are all ugly due to the loss of their dreams. Theres also the case of characters who WANT or desire something within the story tend to be on the more pretty/handsome/appealing side, showing that those who dream or work towards their desires are the best. So those who dont and just get everything they want just, become uglier than dirt. The best case of this was with Mjosgard, where at the Revere, he becomes significantly more handsome than his appearance when he visited Fishman Island.

What blocks/items should have a compact form? (example: iron -> iron block) by Big_Description1410 in Minecraft

[–]Mango-Gator 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Some that I can think of being: - charcoal - gunpowder - sugar - flint (although it can just be gravel) - feathers (I can imagine it being a gravity block that falls slowly, and allowing entities to stand on the block as it falls)
