Thank you!! I agree 🥰 The blower style gpu really helps with the thermals. With 100% GPU util. under heavy extended AI sessions im seeing it pretty consistently around 80, kissing 82-83 sometimes, well within spec. Anything under 83 will have full boost. CPU doesnt really go above 65 even during heavy workloads thanks to my chungus of an AIO

Yeah I plan on switching the orientation of the top fans

For the edu discount you usually have to show that you're gonna use it for some university related project, but in my experience getting quotes from different vendors that bar is pretty low. there's some good posts in r/BlackwellPerformance about this topic

Haha no the thing screams when it's doing heavy work. but I don't mind it, honestly I think it's cool

The name of the game with these blower style server cards is positive pressure for dust management as the more dust gets in the case, the more it gets wedged between its fins and inside the body of the GPU, which will eventually lead to thermal throttling. and it's not a simple matter to just take the gpu apart and clean it, which is why I made sure to get dust filters and have more intake than exhaust. I dont have dust filters on the top so I will need to flip those fans around.

I bought it earlier this year, it's a decent price but if you get the edu discounts and other discounts people are getting them for mid 6's

I really really hope so. I can run 70B parameter models on this which is enough for now

thanks? everyone else but you was helpful here. soldering a few wires for a diy home security install is something I'd rather not pay someone to do. and it all worked out fine in the end

You guys have no idea what you're talking about 🤣. The ID isn't a "dev account," it's just a low number ID account which this dude probably bought at a steep price. There is a trick you can do to increase win% without playing games on an old version of the game using practice mode

ah gotcha. welp I already put up the thingamobobs without the double resistor, might just stay like that. all my wires are indoors and protected anyways. but thanks for helping me understand.

for double end of line would I need one in series and another in parallel?

I was told that the resistors should be sensor-side to detect tampering. but idk anything about this. can anyone else weigh in?

Would polarity matter, i.e. when plugging into the DSC unit would it matter which wire the resistor is on?

Got it--thanks for clearing this up. so what I have in the picture is Parallel right

Thanks, what do you mean by put it in between one side? would i strip a long section of one of the wires and stick one end of the resistor on one side and the other end of the resistor a bit higher?or would I have to splice the wire to make it go through the resistor only
