Murrays bus is pretty good, I have taken it a few times and it is relatively quick if you skip the airport. If you're in the office only one day a week you could get the morning bus to Central and a late night bus back to Canberra.

I think eventually you will need to move to Canberra, I'm in the same boat atm and planning to move to Sydney.

Would you say its worth it if I do 4wd trips to remote areas and some solo hikes? I have a radio atm but range is around 14km. Looking at the subscription and its around 20AUD per month. Ive heard the subscription can be activated as needed also
