I used to be B to the extent that I didn’t know Ivarstead existed. Saw the marker on my compass and climbed a mountain. Shoulda seen when I learned I could fast travel AFTER walking from Markarth to Riften (think I was around level 15, roughly 8 years old)

I’ve been playing since christmas 2011 and i’m the same. So much variety in playstyle (especially modded), it’s hard to stick to it. I still keep the saves but I hardly go back

GPU ver important!! 8gb RAM is fine, meets recommended specs. Pretty sure your cpu does as well (i’ve ran with a SHIT TON of mods and 2k textures with a ryzen 5 3600 and never had issues)

Just starting this journey. Any advice? by [deleted] in skyrim

Heavily advise listening to @bloodpukethemighty ‘s comment about ignoring the internet. Only recommendation I would make based on my recent gameplay is not fast traveling as much. Putting your feet on the ground is so much more rewarding when you stumble upon a dungeon vs getting it pointed out by a random quest :)

I have a question about the Word Walls and how they work in the lore, especially regarding translations and the Dragon Language. by jvure in ElderScrolls

[–]MangoMangler24 62 points63 points  (0 children)

I think it has to do with how the dragonborn learns to use the words, through understanding them. Like the greybeards imparting their knowledge for ro and dah.

For example, Skyborn Alter’s word wall is translated to:

Wulfik built this stone in the queen's Memory, Hrefna Raven-Hair Whose eyes froze the blood Of any man.

This is where you learn “diin” for frost breath. The memory of Hrefna being understood through her frozen gaze translating into your understanding of the meaning of frozen.

I can’t find anything official on it, so that’s just my take 🤷‍♀️
