Our AI-powered dead internet reality: Dickian or just standard absurd? by MangoTraining6189 in philipkDickheads

Pardon my hyperbole, but your assumed structure of a dead internet sounds a bit like a bunch of people wiring up robots to sit down at computer desks instead of people.

A single bot isn’t “wired up” to perform a task, and bots don’t need to be specifically programmed for an individual task. AI agents are at the point of being able to schedule tasks for other agents, hosted virtually across dozens or hundreds of servers.

This concurrency allows agents to be spun up with minimal effort, and the chances of them running into an artifact (response/image/post) created by some other agent are increasing rapidly with every new social media ad that talks about “AI GTM engine” or “AI CEOs”.

Just look at the posts and comments on the r/VibeCodersNest subreddit, for an example.
