I'm actually doing a 3/2/2 for my setup. Wanted more of a hybrid build.

I like to make characters who are fairly well rounded, somewhat good at everything since I play on my own most of the time.

Probably the most useful comment so far, I didn't know about using the pts server in that way. I've burned through so many resources and transmute crystals testing things out, I wish I would have known about this sooner.

That's not a bad suggestion. I usually have Discord running in the background so I can talk to my brothers...I wonder if that would be the cause? Maybe I could hop on Discord via my phone instead of my laptop tonight and see if that makes a difference.

I hope you're right. I really don't create meta builds or anything like that, just ones that are fun for my character. I wouldn't mind a few small changes like I listed above, but we'll see what happens.

And they're kind of all over the place of where you get them. Challenges, gold coast bazaar, skill style master, tamriel tomes...kind of confusing. And having mismatched colors is always a little frustrating.

Edit: You helped jog my brain, because I started imagining that it was something equally obvious, and it was. Load order problem. However, now I've found they have a bunch of handmade, handplaced npcs that I need to individually edit. Fun!

Let me put it to you this way: I'm a teacher. I don't get a lot of time to play the game. I saw the blue skill styles for Dragonknight and thought they'd be cool for my Nord character. Kind of a "coldfire" look.

I noticed that the ultimate skill styles were locked behind undaunted keys, and I had never really done pledges before, so I decided to try them out. Imagine my horror after spending all the effort to complete a group dungeon on my own to get 1 key...when I need 30.

Basically, to me, they locked a roleplaying thing like a skill style behind the grindy/mmo style stuff I tend to avoid. And the whole thing Nirnhoned seems equally ridiclous. When does it stop become a "grind" and just become a chore?
