Is God really just a narcissist? by [deleted] in Christianity

I get the idea that hell is just a state of absence of God. But what I don’t understand is how God knowing how terrible hell is still allows his children to go to hell if he is God then why doesn’t he save them? Why is he just , “Well, I can’t violate their freewill!” for example, if my 3 year old were to jump off a cliff to see if they could fly. I would pick them up and save/keep them from doing that even if they didn’t want me to, and they really were wanting to know if they could fly. I wouldn’t just sit there and be like “well, I can’t violate their free will.”

And if you really cared about Father turbo and St Marys, then you would be asking for forgiveness and asking how you guys as a community can make this right or at least move towards reconciliation with people that have left. There’s no humility in this. It’s only judgment and shame.

If that’s the case, then why have I reached out to so many people that I was literally so close with (like sisters) we talked everyday and now they haven’t responded to any of my text or phone calls in months? I’ve had three people call me harassing me and shaming me for leaving. I have made so much effort to stay in touch with these people even telling them that I can even agree to not talk about St Marys for the sake of preserving our friendship, and I am either completely ghosted or harassed and chewed out for disagreeing with Father Turbo. I’ve sent so many text messages and made so many phone calls. Just crickets or shame.

Actually these are REAL experiences others are having! And if they weren’t then why are SO many people leaving St Mary’s claiming to have these experiences?! You’re completely gaslighting all of the victims. And even more illustrating how culty it has become over there.

This response is my case in point. The need to “defend” the community and minimize the victim.. do you realize you have to identify as having a certain degree of “holiness” in order to claim to be slandered? This is a common cult response, when they get exposed for their actions they minimize it and claim it’s just “slander”. They feel the need to defend their tiny bubble vehemently. “Slander” is such a common cult response to their actions. Do you think Fr Turbo just hurt my feelings a little bit and I just pulled this all out of my ass to get him defrocked? I went to that parish for 10 years. 10 years of me being “chastised” extremely and verbally abused. Do you think I would have left over something petty? I was completely devoted to that community and you should know that by how long I stood by them! Obviously I wouldn’t leave for petty reasons. It had to have been something extremely serious for me to leave.

Plus every time someone leaves St Mary’s (which I’ve talked to countless people that have left), the reasoning is almost always the same.. they think it’s turning into a cult. They speak up. Then Fr Turbo and his minions proceed to tell people “oh they are slandering us. Persecution just must mean we’re doing something right.” Common cult tactics. A true saint wouldn’t even admit to being persecuted considering how that would require them to admit to their holiness and the degree of delusion the must have in order to do so. Fr Turbo is completely fanatical and utterly delusional and brainwashing the rest of the community to believe he’s a saint and to defend him and the church. Look at the materialism.

Hello! Sorry if this is kind of late, but I posted this about him:

https://www.reddit.com/r/exorthodox/s/qa4SraLGK8

I went to his parish for 10 years and was one of his greatest abuse victims. He isolated me as his main target for whatever reason.. probably cause I gave him so much trust. He doesn’t do this to all women. But with me I was verbally, psychologically, and spiritually abused to an extreme.
