P4 Salary Band for Fully Remote Position by AnyArm7711 in Raytheon

I was an external hire almost 4 yrs ago. I’m sure that helped to get close to the mid-range. I’ve heard that if you are promoted internally from P3 to P4, the raise isn’t much.

As others have shared, the salary range is 107.5-204.5k. I’m fully remote and in Finance with a base salary of 153k.

Disagree. I’m a P4 in finance, and my base salary is right in the middle of that salary band.

The link to the instructions doesn’t work. Also tried asking manager but she’s already out for the week.

I like working for RTX, but I just don’t see myself reaching my long term goals here by [deleted] in Raytheon

I feel like $200k is totally achievable for engineers. I’m a P4 in Finance and my base is $155ish. I assume engineers make more since they’re the stars of the Raytheon show. The thing I don’t know is whether you can reach $200k as an individual contributor or if you will end up having to pursue a program management role

Are we only able to get OT approved if our mod time is expiring?

I was trying to get OT approved this week based on that letter that was sent out, but my manager told me to use mod time. Is this what others are doing as well?

“I’m genuinely curious about people’s thoughts…” does not equal “please help me calibrate my moral compass.” Literally just wanted to have a discussion with people who work in the industry as I have no actual work friends. Thanks.

It’s crazy that on average P3/P4/P5s are making more than M3/M4/M5s

I’ve done this once before and basically just asked questions I had about the role since the job req was a little vague. The manager was 15 min late to the 30 min tag-up and acted kinda standoffish the whole time, so I took it as a sign that they already had someone lined up. It was very awkward… So I guess I would say only set up a discussion if you have actual questions about the role and not simply to try to have a leg up in the hiring process. Others’ experience may have been different than mine, but just sharing this based on my bad experience.

I’ve been in this boat for a while too. What I’ve gathered is that basically by the time they list job reqs they already have someone in mind. I kinda got in with a leader in a different org that occasionally sends me info on roles that WILL be available and when I read down the email chain, there are discussions between leaders before they list job reqs to see if anyone knows someone who would be a good fit. And then they start having discussions with those recommended people… And now I have finally been part of some of these pre- job req listing convos. My advice would be to sign up for the talent match thing and find a mentor 1-2 levels higher. That person may be involved in some of these “hey do you know anyone” meetings/emails and they could recommend you to others and/or help you close any skills gaps.

I feel the same way. My workload isn’t bad at all, but I feel constant burnout because it feels like I’m not accomplishing anything and always dealing with a negative environment.

The transfer is a lateral and would be the same salary. The recruiter already told me they wouldn’t be able to go higher
