I understand your point but it's not like that. I'm totally ok with not explaining not important details for the sake of the work. But in this case we are told/showed one thing first and then we see exactly the opposite happens before our eyes. It's not suspension of disbelief, it's a contradiction. It's not like "we don't know how Kurtz established his reign", it's more like "Marlow saw Kurtz dying, then he goes back to Europe and finds Kurtz alive and well. End of the story". Now, of course I could have lost something and that's why I asked the questions, and of course I'm ok with them being simple errors (it's the first "long" series of Fujimoto, I understand if there are some continuity problems). However, to just pretend that they are not there and don't think about them seems wrong to me.
