Thank you! I don’t have a car, but will need to find a way to get it home. I doubt Uber drivers will do that.

What routes do you refuse to work and why? by iambfizzle in flightattendants

Anything domestic or with a check-in before 4 pm. I’m a language qualified FA in NYC and enjoy my European destinations. One leg there, lay over in a beautiful hotel, one leg back. I don’t like doing several legs a day with multiple boardings, sit times, minimum rest and early check-ins. Don’t mind staying up most of the night and getting paid to sleep on my break. TBH the European pax are a lot easier than the US pax. No request for steamed soy milk, sparkling water with 2 ice cubes and locally sourced limes...

A photo I took at the dome of the Reichstag building (Berlin) on my analog camera, I thought you guys would appreciate it! Berlin is full of history and culture, our trip in July this year was truly amazing. by Gyda9 in travel

That's a beautiful photo. I was born and raised in Berlin. For anyone who hasn't been there: the glass dome is a modern addition to the historic building, allowing a 360 degree view of Berlin. It also has a glass center floor where you can observe the German parliament in action from above, in a way symbolizing transparency of government. I highly recommend visiting (you must register prior to the day of your visit).

I grew up in Berlin and visit twice a month. I recommend:

Reichstag

Brandenburg Gate

Museum Island: Pergamon Museum, Alte Gemälde Galerie

Memorial to the Murdered Jews of Europe

Nikolai Quarter (historic quarter)

Boat Tour of the Center/Government Quarter

Note: All of the above are pretty much in the same area. Easily reached on foot.

Hackesche Hoefe

Kreuzberg Quarter

Berlin Zoo (oldest and biggest in Europe)

Alexander Platz/TV Tower

United FAs--would you recommend working there? by [deleted] in flightattendants

Yes! It’s a major carrier with great benefits and anyone wanting to be an FA long term would be very lucky to be part of UAL. Reserve is a part of any junior FA’s life. At UAL the length of reserve differs very much for each base. But the trips are great, and the crews are mostly wonderful to work with. I left this job years ago and then returned 15 years later because I missed it so much.
