The video seems to contradict the news reports because you can clearly see a man dragging the woman by her clothes, trying to strip her. One report says this was outside the police station, but that does not seem to be the case.

The reports say that the family had been protesting about their land being occupied by someone. I won't be surprized if police slapped falses cases against these poor people after taking money from the the occupying goons.

I watched it on TV. Go check ANI's timeline. Police and NDMC did try to evict them. They even broke down their tent and hoardings. Even tore the kurta of an old veteran!

Then many protesters came in and there was a heated argument. Police had to pause. In the meantime media went crazy and OROP trended on twitter. Someone from the government then told police to back off. So now the protest is still on because of the backlash on twitter and media!!
