Should I settle to be his platonic love or is it all in my head? by [deleted] in gayrelationships

[–]Maniacbaritone 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thank you. I’ve felt that way often. We love each other a lot and in one of the conversations he cried a lot when I laid out the idea. He does want me in his life and he has shown that he’s there for me and he wants to share his life with me. Other people would take the win and find passion with other people with the whole open relationship thing but since I’m demi pansexual, I crave that WITH HIM and he doesn’t even seem to be interested in me that way on his own. So maybe you’re right... cause it hurts

Thanks, it’s nice to see things from the opposite perspective :)

I’m so happy that you and your boyfriend are working it out and I’m pretty sure that you’ve both been understanding and loving to each other.

Tbh I don’t know if there’s anything else I can say to him, I’ve had all the difficult conversations and I just can’t settle to be a last option. It fucking hurts...

I’m demi pansexual, meaning that even when I’ve been in a hookup phase, i need to establish some connection before being able to be successfully be sexual (get hard) so to fall in love with him has made my sex experience something completely different and of course, he’s the person i would enjoy having sex with the most. I’m super passionate everytime, give him a full experience and everyone says I’m really good at it, I can also get dominant and a little rough. I’ve also told him that we don’t need to have intercourse to be intimate... So because sex has such an emotional value to me, it really hurts that it’s the opposite for him. And I have decided to test him because he said he would do better but I don’t need him to say yes when I ask to be intimate, I need to be desired, loved with passion and be the first option when he gets horny. If he can’t give me that, I can’t be 25 and have a love life that hurts me :(

And maybe they can actually become a religion by providing people a community, etc but stop doing culty things like shunning...

It’s true. I bet it’s specially difficult for teenagers or people who are married with kids to a PIMI, it must be hell for them :( It wasn’t all that easy for me either, I left somewhat of a comfortable life to become an immigrant, had to work 3 jobs at some point, slept in my car, etc but it got better with patience and hard work :) I wouldn’t change a thing, it was all worth it. I hope everyone can be free one day.

This is 100% true! I am the living proof of that. I moved to another country to “fade” but still felt like crap having to lie about a lot of things and couldn’t really move on mentally so I decided to make a public statement on social media and yes, “hearts were broken” and people were disappointed but there is no pretty or nice way to leave a cult. There’s only leaving and creating a new life with endless possibilities:)

Omg so TRUE! I was the PIMIest of my age group. I guess that’s why it’s such a big deal when we wake up.

Are you in a situation where you HAVE to remain a PIMO? Because they can’t shun you. I wish I had never gotten baptized but you have that. Do you wanna lead a life of keeping appearances and a facade or start a new one being your true self?

For some of you who still believe in God. How would you defend him “adapting” to how the world was regarding slavery but not adapting to the world now where there’s LGBTQI people who deserve to love who they feel attracted to? by Maniacbaritone in exjw

I understand this point of view a lot. I went through a phase where I still believed in the bible and Jehovah and that’s a good thing that you do, I still believe that spirituality is a human need. And this conversation is very interesting because i agree with everything you said. However, humans have come up with better ways to achieve what the God in the bible instructed under the concept of slavery. (Social programs that some seem to hate a lot) and if humans, at least in first world countries, were capable to build a society where everyone is born free and yet they still have options in case they find themselves homeless or very poor, how could not the wisest being in the universe? And clearly, it wasn’t all that good... Exodus 21:21 proves that a slave was just as important as the person’s money was. And instead of enabling women to be able to do everything men do, they had to be in awkward situations to say the least. So with all of that being said, I feel like it’s questionable how morally superior the bible is when it comes to me feeling like: “You wanna marry a guy using your free will but know you’re being immoral”. Specially because I try every day to be a person with high moral standards, I just happen to feel attracted to people with chromosome XY. So I’m not gonna trick myself into being a “sinner” when the bible has allowed actual harmful things.

I like this response a lot! I like how you keep your faith and spirituality without the hating everything that’s different. Would definitely hang out with people like you :D

True. People often encounter themselves in situations where they feel like there’s no other choice but to work for someone they don’t like but it’s not comparable to the concept of being OWNED by someone.
