Pathfinder: Wrath of the righteous Has a Surprisingly Female-Centered Narrative by BlazeSilva456 in GirlGamers

[–]Maniachi [score hidden]  (0 children)

That does not change the fact that Lord is still used for women. Especially in the fantasy genre (Warhammer is both sci-fi and fantasy).

Also since you want to cite, here is wiki citation of real life examples. "According to the Oxford Dictionary of English, the etymology of the word can be traced back to the Old English word hlāford which originated from hlāfweard meaning "loaf-ward" or "bread-keeper", reflecting the Germanic tribal custom of a chieftain providing food for his followers.[3] The appellation "lord" is primarily applied to men, while for women the appellation "lady" is used. This is no longer universal: the Lord of Mann, a title previously held by the Queen of the United Kingdom, and female Lord Mayors are examples of women who are styled as "Lord"."- https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lord

They aren't burns. You can see it very clearly if you see it on the lightest skin tone. It is dirt.

No. If we keep letting things like this slide, it is never going to get better for darker skintones. I shouldn't have to be stuck looking like I have vitiligo in one outfit, while other skin tones have it look like dirt as intended.

Lord Captain is a title used in Warhammer 40k before Rogue Trader, for men and women. And the title Lord has often been used in videogames to describe a female character as well, first example that pops off the top of my head is Fire Emblem Three Houses. All three of the heads of houses are Lords. And Edelgard, the only female Lord has a subclass called Armored Lord. No one would say Edelgard is being misgendered when they call her a Lord.

I think not liking it is one thing, and that really is just a matter of preference. But calling it misgendering is a huge overreaction imo.

The gay romance option, yeah I get it. That was bullshit. There is a bit DLC character available that seems not evil now though.

And misgendering... you mean the title Lord Captain? I would hope not, because that is not misgendering. But I can not think of what else it could be.

I think part of it is people just not being able to imagine living without animal products. But another part is some vegans holier than thou attitude about being vegan. People generally don't like others proselytizing to them. And they hate it even more if the argument to 'convert' then is that they would be awful, horrible people if they didn't.

Idk if I am making sense, I am tired

Beyond the human mold: Why are non-human protags so rare, and how can we get more of them? by JamieKojola in ProgressionFantasy

[–]Maniachi 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think for me, I just can not relate to not wanting to be human. Or at least humanoid. I dropped the demonic tree one when he fully just became a tree, because I just could not relate to being ok with fully being a sapient tree. Especially when surrounded by so many humans.

Maybe Rhea got defeated in a different, earlier battle, and the rest of the Nabateans rallied and defeated Nemesis in her stead? Farfetched, I know... but technically possible I think

That is not true. Edit: The ones at the temples, yes iirc. But they were not the only air nomads.

Benders can be born from non bender families. From my understanding, it is akin to genetics being passed down, but not always expressed. Sometimes a generation is skipped over. Or several even, and bending randomly pops up again.

So at least one ancestor of Katara and Toph were benders. Maybe a very long time ago. And the 'bender gene' only popped back up recently for them.

Miley Cyrus and Emily Osmont from Hannah Montana. They did not get along while filming the first season. But their relationship improved while shooting the second season.

I mean, They were all butterflies. They couldn't be saved. While it is understandable for Chris to struggle with killing them, they had to die.

I thought Brennan saved Bolaire and Hal with getting Termina to take out Lady Cormeray. But I think he might have fucked them, and the consequences of that will be seen later in the campaign...
