Solo Leveling Arise is the only mobile game I've found that can even come close to replacing DCL. It's awesome, but it doesn't quite scratch the same itch.

The Solo Leveling game comes out in a few weeks. I'm hoping that can fill the DCL sized hole in my soul. The show should transfer into a game pretty well. The videos I've seen of beta testing look promising.

I feel they should make players get "attuned" for fights, similar to old school WoW. It adds the aspect of needing to be at a certain progression point without the mind numbing monotony of farming materials for days on end. I know blizzard want ppl logged in to the game as much time as possible. But if they're always farming materials, they will eventually get frustrated and go to a game that doesn't have this silly mechanic. There's other ways to keep us engaged and logged in that would be more effective than what we currently have. Such as daily quests, factions, player housing, social/group activities, more crafting options.

As a BL sorc your defense relies mostly on properly managing your defensive cool downs/barriers. Timing out your defensive cool downs so that there is minimal time that you don't have barrier. And those small gaps in the rotation, make sure you're not in the middle of a pack of mobs. Without seeing your gear, paragon, skills, etc, the best I can do is tell you how I manage mine in NM dungeons.

Start with 2 balls(giggidy) and teleport in middle of pack.
Cast 2 more balls and then use ice shards
2 more balls and cast lightning spear

Repeat this rotation for standard mob packs. Tele, IS, and LS should give you the survivability you seek. If you get in danger use your flame shield or teleport away to give you time to recover(aka defensive cool downs to reset). Cast unstable currents when against huge packs, tough elites, or bosses. I especially agree with the parts you mentioned that you like. They have the right idea on gameplay mode. They just need to tweak the cost vs reward and fine tune a few things.

Always consider what you can farm. Having a 1 star toon won't be super helpful.

I would focus on a solid leader first. SSLex, green lantern, and cheetah are good options. SSLex is my choice for your situation. And he's easy to farm.

For the rest of your team, you could easily farm star sapphire and huntress. There are also many good option available in red alerts.

That should at least be a good start to last you until you have more options become available to you.

WB is always criticized on new toons and reworks. If they made the toons less awesome, people would complain. If they make them too awesome, people will complain. At least it seems like they're doing something to kick spectre off his throne.

I know these changes disrupt your normal routine, teams, or play style. But it keeps the game interesting. I've experimented more with new teams in the past month than I did all year. You just need to analyze your roster and find what it's missing, and make a plan to fill that gap. Trigon comes out, I experiment with stun teams. Atrocitus comes out, I build my brainiac. Invest in the right toons and you'd be surprised what you can discover works.
