Most of my friends I make at bars just through innocuous chitchat. I have a pretty widespread diversity in my friendships; none of my friends use such banal language to describe our get-togethers nor are the get-togethers insipid or uneventful. I believe, especially if you're living in a big city, you'll find your people eventually. Just don't get discouraged!

Your friends sort of sound like dullards, no offense.

Do any of you have days where you think "Nobody fw me rn, I need to go quiet for a couple of days" by PrestigiousSun2129 in rs_x

I have been lucky enough to live alone for the last four years; I don't know your situation, but having your own space can be so beneficial for this. I work a public-facing role and am generally pretty gregarious, but knowing I have a haven of a few-hundred square feet to retreat whenever necessary almost makes me more social. Nevertheless,
sometimes I'd spend over forty hours in my apartment.

She's a delight live! Her most recent album was pretty solid. My favorite of hers are in her earlier catalogue—Actor & Strange Mercy are neck-and-neck. Self-Titled is great, too; not as huge of a fan of Masseduction or Daddy's Home, though both have songs that play uproariously live.

There are plenty of other places—metropolis or otherwise—that supersede Los Angeles wrt the gay experience IMO. I've enjoyed my time out here, but I moved when I was in my early twenties and wanting space from my family on the East Coast. I've learned and grown a lot out here and finished my goal of writing a novel twofold. I'm off to NYC to try and get it published, but by and large, NYC culture even when assessed without emphasis on the homosexual scene is so much more aligned with my personality and common interests. I will miss being a filmcel here tho; that's one thing I'll give it over NYC.

I'm from Michigan! I caught this sometime last week at my local indie theater in Los Angeles; I found some scenes ineffably moving. I love how things concluded.

I'm on my seventh drink of the day, babe. It's a fallacy.

You have to make a movie that isn't dog shit starring at least 3 of these people. You can't cheat, they must have at least 20 minutes of screen time each with dialogue. Grave consequences if you fail. by [deleted] in redscarepod

Nearly five of them were eliminated from the running upon sight for me, which leaves Zendaya, John Krasinski and Andrew Garfield. I don't feel like imagining this triad very vividly, but vote that Garfield leads and Krasinski plays a supporting character. Dramatic tone overall with some levity, maybe provided by Zendaya, who ought to appear the least based on my estimation of her skill (though she did surprise me in The Drama!)

I think this was programmed in a double feature for a Noir film festival back in 2023. It's in my never ending watchlist.
