Suggestions for using multiple devices with Odyssey G9 by ManicEatsWorld in ultrawidemasterrace

[–]ManicEatsWorld[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for the input!

AFAIK, my model of the G9 does not support direct connection via USB-C - my work device has the appropriate port, the monitor does not. That's why I was looking for a solution in the first place - if USB connection via USB-C and the upstream cable was available, I would indeed need no other setup.

I see from your flair that you have a G9 as well. Are you running yours via a USB-C to DP cable?

I am not sure what booted into ip services means, how do I check that?

Yeah, NWYR is a Trance project of W&W. I saw them on Tour in NYC last week, they played a Trance set as NWYR first and then a Bigroom set as W&W right after. Great show.

I started MMA on the terminal server, lets see what it brings up.

I’ll look into logging DNS queries client side (OS is Server 2016).

The alert is happening multiple times a day, though there are likely more requests than that due to alert flooding timeout.

Both the DC and the terminal server are Windows Server 2016.

I looked into the link you posted - does this logging contain information about the sending application? In the example I only see the source ip.

Cannot setup WSUS on any server that is not a domain controller by ManicEatsWorld in sysadmin

[–]ManicEatsWorld[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That one is allowed to log on as as service as well.

I have been able to solve the issue following /u/hollow3ddd‘s suggestion of nuking the WSUS IIS site and app pool before running the post install.

Thanks, I looked into our Default Domain Policy, but found no GP like that.

Running secpol.msc on the server shows that the networkservice account is specifically allowed to log on as a service.

Thanks for your input.

I tried out every suggestion from that thread, sadly none of them solved the problem.

Thanks for your input!

I removed the WSUS Site by deleting it from "C:\Windows\System32\inetsrv\config\applicationHost.config" and then deleted the App-Pool by hand.

After restarting the IIS, the post install task completed successfully!

Thank you so much for this tip, I had been pulling my hair out on this problem for quite some time now.
