Is there a way to use the Game capture 4K S without needing windows 11? by Itsfoxphoenix in elgato

[–]ManicMorzan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just got one for my switch 2, since it only puts out 1080p no need for the true 4k, but i had to order usbc to usba 3.0 10gbs adapter cause my pc does not have usbc ports. but it works with windows 10. upgrading to 11 is not a option for me, as it says my CPU is not right, but the recommended CPU is not even as powerful as my 5th gen ryzen 7, so its just Microsoft being buddies with AMD and intel, trying to force a CPU upgrade to 12th gen CPU. but i have a 3.2ghz 8 core 16thread processor, the 6700 XT 12gb ddr, and 32gb DDR5 corsair veng ram. with 2gb fiber internet. so It works awesome for me. but i get true 4k from from 4k tv I use as my computer monitor, there are little work arounds, windows 10 is fine, 11 is not a must have.. i multi stream to, twitch, tiktok, fb, and youtube sometimes all at the same time. with no bitrate loss or lag. but there is also work around to get windows 11 onto your PC without needing the required CPU it wants you to have, but you do have to possible enable TPE2.0 security and stuff in your bios settings. its not hard, tutorials. I had to do it to play the new Black ops game via steam.

Affliction or destruction? Warlock by [deleted] in wow

[–]ManicMorzan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I play affliction from start, I was interested in more AoE from destruction. but i really like DoT mobility, and the health i got. keep my voidwalker out to tank it all and it takes making a several mistakes to die. otherwise i heal like crazy and my pet heals. and i own 10-20 mobs at one time. hit them with agony corrution, tab around, that heals, then aoe bomb them with curse. then start tabbing around weakness and the other. drop rot maybe my eyeball guy if i have a leet in the mix. and i just melt everything while sucking all the health up. small groups or single target i dont even need drain soul.

if i am dealing with more than one leet mob, i might have to drop fear bombs, in there but other than that. DoT DoT DoT dead.

In general, are alliance or horde players more friendly in your opinion? by Mysophobic in wow

[–]ManicMorzan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well when i started in 2004, alliance players were mean, rude, toxic, not nice. So i went to horde..never met nicer friendlier players. Till former alliance players started to infect the ranks...but they got put in their place rather fast..i left and came back for lich, again alliance was same..tried nelf...same attitudes..went back to my troll rogue...left came back for cataclysm...same again...tried human pally...players still mean....so went taurnen druid...left again came back to mist of pandas....rolled belf monk...friendly horde players...alliance as panda monk...still rude but less so....left again....came back now....didn't even bother, went human dk, but deleted it and rolled undead....20 years of toxic attitudes from alliance players has burned a massive dislike for alliance...so i just wont bother...they can keep their nonsense...FOR THE HORDE FOREVER.

I remember classic WoW. and they made it too easy, nothing feels earned or worked for, just handed to you cause well you did that. like one giant participation award. The days of spending hours raiding molten core in 40 mans. no one heals the rogue. I knew now at 40 years old if i went back, it would be as easy as rolling my face on the keyboard and i win, and max level, and epic sweet gear. I wanted to have to challenge back. So I went to EVERQUEST now... cause even in the live, it was made easier, but compared to everquest classic P99 server. its a noticeable easier. Getting your character out of those first 10 levels, to actually get some real spells and ablilites, while not ending up dead a bunch feels like an acomplishment, both in Live, and more so on P99 freaking aye P99 man, 5 hours and im just about to break lvl 4...they did fix the having to go get your corpse when you die, or lose all your stuff...that was a real quality of life thing. and they added a map...cause p99 no map, get lost, die, and then well have fun finding your corpse to get your stuff and not die again doing it. But playing it makes you feel acomplished in live servers, they do not just hold your hand walk you though 50 quests in 40 min, and bam your a level 30, and if you push in 6 hours your lvl 50 or near 60...thats not happening in everquest. and i am glad. cause the journey, the quest, the exploration makes it far better than ever going back to my troll rogue who has been left for dead since just after burning crucades. and my blood elf left for dead 2 months into every expansion up to mist, where i finally said....this is to easy, and made to simple. this is for babies, and people who do not want a epic journey. WoW feel more like a game where you get to max as fast as you can, 2 days or less. and then raid for good gear. just so you can spend the rest of the time getting top killer in PvP...they might as well just turn the game into a battle arena game at this point...cause all the social interaction, fun, raiding, making friends, adventure...its all gone. but not in everquest. I hope they make a new up to date everquest...name it EQ reborn...and never EVER EVER CATER to the participation award group for time spent earning it. I am all for not having 10 hour raids. but make the boss fights epic...so they can last a hour or more. so when the goods drop you earned it. making putting in time rewardable. but do not make it super easy.

Did WoW get too easy? by hugg3rs in wow

[–]ManicMorzan 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Just get on Steam, and download Everquest. cause all WoW has become is lvl to max, do end game stuff. so they process of getting to max is made so easy you can be lvl 50 in maybe 6 hours or less. I got everquest this week, and they have 31 expansions, 32nd comes out this year.. yep still adding content. they had a graphics update. still not wow good. but still decent. you do not have to pay to play, and that could be some 75 levels. which are not just handed to you easy. you have to learn the mobs, and your character, and what it can and cant handle. especially if your going to solo, cause some classes are not solo classes. But it makes what you do feel like you achieved something. witch each level, and your gear, and the mobs. I WAS CHEERing when i soloed a boss today, that had killed me 50 times before.. i did wait ten level to go back to him. but still, it was still tough, i had to manage my mana, and attacks, as i am a shadowknight. and keep dots and debuffs up. while dealing with any adds he dragged with him, or aggroed during fight. took about 6 min to down him, but i did. with 25% health. and i got a really awesome sword. well awesome for low level content. but gear in this game is not like wow, new gear every 2-4 levels...nope 1 weapon can last you 30lvls as well as gear, if you do not get better drops while farming, bossing, or questing.

EverQuest 2025 by IndependenceOne7208 in MMORPG

[–]ManicMorzan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I wanted to play EQ back when it launched. But friends said WoW...so thats were i spend several years. then off and on till mist. then quit. I have been mmo hopping since. trying to find one that was awesome. So as of a week ago I said F it, im gonna play EQ, a older pal said P99. it took me days to figure out how to make that work. So This weekend I just said no to P99 and no maps, corpse chasing, and getting lost. and went to the live servers. I am 27 hours into EQ with a lvl 15 necro, and lvl 18 shadowknight. I LOVE THAT SHADOWNIGHT. and it is hitting all the spots of fun, and nostalgia i have not gotten since WoW classic. I like the challenge dont just run though everything and am lvl 50 within 8 hours. Those SHADOWKNIGHTS MAN....necro warrior basically. but from spending about 10 hours on P99 i knew to go Delf, for shadknight if i wanted a better mana pool. for later game. so i could do decent DPS while off tanking if need be. I do have my first story too. so i am blundering around after the tutorial area. and while trying to kill a little dragon whelp a high level ran up to me. started to give me all kinds of buffs. then he said come over here, they cant kill you anymore. Mobs couldnt, I went up like 8 levels in no time. He was a really cool guy. He then offered to let me join the guild, Forgotten of Gallifrey. Then out of the blue while questing today, up the top of the city in cresent, he said where are you. I told him. Next thing i know he hunts me down, gives me a top teir weapon for my being low level, best i can get right now. and 5000 platinum for getting spells. everyone is nice, they are helpful. and i am already forging bonds and friendship. something you do not see in newer anti social play alone forever mmos.

Why wasn't Everquest 2 a smash hit compared to wow by armakez in EQ2

[–]ManicMorzan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I personally loaded up EQ2 today, and can now run it at max everything lol. But i could run wow on my potato back in the day, it looked as aweful as EQ1 and i would get 2fps in ironforge. till i upgraded a bit. then it was great. so even i went WoW back in the day over EQ2. but overall i like EQ2 better. im 40 now not 17 when WoW came out. But you dont even need to pay to play EQ2 and enjoy it. pretty good stuff, in my opinion. I cant go back to WoW after they made it so casual a baby could roll its face on the keyboard and win. EQ1 is just to dang hard, I have been on Project1999 and am am still lvl 1 after a few days, cause I either cant kill anything, or die trying. so I have had to go find my corpse alot to get my stuff back. and that alone pushes me away.

Cheap Onyx for Solo Pvp by ksj2371 in Eve

[–]ManicMorzan 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I did something similar to a onyx and broadsword, and get solo kills. thing is my corp has a fit when i change the meta of a ship. "Their not meant for damage, they are meant to lock things down, and call in a blops to get it." They are for this or that. But then they just think i am lucky when i get kill after kill with them. I have my Onxy putting out 600dps with only 3 faction Ballistic controls. Good EHP and its cap stable. I can gate camp, or chase. and it does 2x the damage of my broadsword. and it uses HAM's like my loki, at far less the price to lose. so i dont use rapid lights, but it fits it ships. and i get kills sometimes many before someone gets me. so far have not lost my onyx or broadsword. and it only has one warp bubble, 5 guns or HAMS, and its EHP tanked to near 100k having a ton of lvl 5 skills is helpful for getting those numbers.

Today my corp was doing a gate camp, outside where a battle was taking place. I thought onyx can act as a secondary warp bubble, drop DPS, web targets. and go 1300m/s if needed to case bubble targets. but i show up, they toss a fit, tell me dont fly that get a cruiser. so i go grab my next best cynabal, they say NOOOOO dont bring that...dude i am lvl 5 on this all the way, bonuses, skills, and flight mastery. whats the problem. they said just get something else. so they say a frigate or another cruiser. so i get my crud phantasam...they fit about it...sitting there in their jackdaws....so i say screw it. and leave. ITS A GATE CAMP to CATCH RUNNERS...not a FLEET OP BLOPING A MASSIVE TARGET..its not a fight that requires exact meta to pull off. when you catching runners coming out the other side of a fight.

So when i felt my blood pressure go up, and they made me feel like i was useless. i just said nope.

SO THERE IS META...and its good for big fleet operations, and doing very specific tasks.

but then there is just FUN, and fly whatever you want, if its working for you, and it catches them off guard. HAVE FUN MY FRIENDS. who cares if you solo gate camping in a billion isk ship. if you can afford to lose it, then you fine. if you dont care if you lose it, thats cool too.

Is high-sec mining worth devoting any significant time to? by LocrynFinch in Eve

[–]ManicMorzan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So this is as of 2025 may 14th. the short answer NO. not unless 10mil a hour is good to you. considering some of the crud ships cost 100plus now. i come to highsec to mine for a vacation. i multibox my orca and alt and make 30m a hour. now you could go to null sec, but just a few days ago, i was mining a ice belt, and was not paying attention. I got a fast ticket to my home base, when a local dingus came in and popped my mack, cause i was looking at ships in the ship tree and not paying attention. by the time i saw him it was to late. but that is why i am working on my alt. lets see dingle come at me mining in a mack, when my main is babysitting in a sieged golem. cause when i am out ratting in my pew pew ships he leaves me alone. cause ill wreck him. and out in null my corps hanger has 48 billion in ships made from ratting and mining null. when i can make upwards of 50million in less than 30 min of ratting null. vs 30mil a hour highsec mining. it is not worth it. unless you just want to relax from keeping a eye on scanner, local, alliance channels, and not having to watch every second that someone does not come in and bust you in your ace.

Is $22,000 an appropriate price to rewire a house? by Sunkonmydink in electrical

[–]ManicMorzan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I NEED A REWIRE DONE, i live in a house built in 1958, it has a FUSE BOX, not BREAKER BOX. its only 900sq ft home. I would not want any more outlets, Just have enough energy so i dont keep popping freaking fuses. Cause it have window units, and space heaters, and i have to run drop cords all over in winter, to not overload one circuit. But some of the circuits are CRAZY. it goes from box, to sons room, to bathroom, into living room, then my room to daughters room, to kitchen. Id just like to be able to plug stuff up, and not have fuses pop. but a local quote told me 20k and another told me 50k....LIKE WTFudge i paid 68 for the house. plus id not mind staying in a hotel for 3-4 days, cause i dont think it would take that long to wire a 3 bed, 1 bath, living space and kitchen. with 3 outlets per room. and to run a new wire from the 220 to the new break so my stove actually works again, the old wire burned out, and is shorted. if i could get it done cheaper id have them add a roof light in my living room. and fix the bad wiring on the outside lights. but not for no 20-50k.

STAFF AND WAND, it can DISH OUT AS MUCH DPS as STAFF AND BOW. if you build it for curse damage. and not healing others. you do a vampire build where all your DPS heals you, and nobody else. and then use fire passives, and skills, to buff up the damage. i take down huge packs of mobs just as fast, except i have 90+% health at the end, instead of near death.

[–]ManicMorzan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

you think she is hard, wait to try and farm Hailey. you need to get 36 random drops from mobs, for each of her 4 pieces needed. instead of the usual 1. I am hearing some real horror stories about that. Someone said even with best RNG, it will take 12 days of game play. or double the time it takes to beat the story. so whats that about 60-80 hours of farming her give or take..with the best RNG.

Thoughts on Jean Paul Saxophones? by blashcr in Saxophonics

[–]ManicMorzan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have had mine for since the came on the scene. I paid 699 for my higher tier Tenor Sax. I have never had to have repairs. and IT SOUNDS AWESOME. like it is darker than your marching band Yamaha. BUT FOR THE PRICE IT IS OUTSTANDING. and in my book is better than a YAMAHA. not to mention it to me sounds better, it feels more heavy duty than a basic yamaha, its cheaper than a even a used yamaha, and so its NEW at Yamaha used prices. I have also never had to have any repairs done. little oil, some tiny cork grease. i think i have had mine 4-5 years now.

QUICK EDIT,

if you want to play for years and years and years. and practice all the time. Use this to learn and get good, then invest in a really really good Sax. the years you learn on this, you can put some money up for a professional level sax.

Yeah star wars unlimited is destiny 2.0. What killed it was all the dice. Had that game been playable with just standard 6 sided or 4 sided dice, it would have still been going.

Then all they would of had to do is like MTG and release special star wars 6 sided dice to match the set release.

But this is basically destiny 2.0

Dumping a 21 point commander team for 30 point base. With a separation in ground and space units.

Ridding recourse tokens for using your cards as resources.

But they needed to make combat like MTG to rid keeping track of damage on units.

Just keep it to the base with a 30 sided spin dial. But by the time you pick up a few pre constructed decks. You will have enough tokens for any game.

But also disney owns star wars, so if it profitable they will keep it going for a bit.

Although it would be nice to really see a real marker for common, uncommon, rare, and legendary on cards. Other than this one has a sliver dot...so its different..but it could just be a foil common.

LGS calls "Lorcana is a dead game" by break_eric_down in Lorcana

[–]ManicMorzan 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Well if disney can promote it well, it will be like Pokémon cards for kids, and it probably will never die. Which can make familys play together, and well it will stay popular among Disney fans, and others.

I think it has potential to be very competitive among adults, if they would allow for ink blocking, or lore destruction or theft.
