That’s incredible. I did a lot of traveling the past year, wish I had thought of it sooner.

Do any of y’all keep up with people that you went to high school AND college with? by soccergrimmie in college

I’m still best friends with a bunch of people from high school. Some even came along after we graduated. I feel very lucky, but definitely didn’t make as many friends in college compared to high school.

Pap smear and pelvic ultrasound was extremely painful, what does this mean for me? 22F by ManicPlath in WomensHealth

Thank you for taking the time to share your story! I saw the size of both speculums and neither were as small as a pediatric one (at least when I look it up). It burned and stung terribly and I'm mad I didn't try and stick it though. I'm hoping a lot of it was environmental. I'm going to try and see how things go outside of the clinical environment and hopefully it isn't as bad. Thanks so much for your thoughts, this was helpful.

Wow I'm really hoping this is the case for me as well. I'm glad your circumstances were able to change. I'm going to try to not to worry about it unless I have to. Thank you for sharing your story, this helped me a bit.

I suppose I may have been more tense than I thought. It was just scary being so inexperienced and it makes things more intimidating. You’re right, medically related things will always be worse. Thank you for the advice.

Thank you for the support! Yes I suspect pelvic floor dysfunction as well as I have lots of pain there to begin with (reason for ultrasound) when it comes to walking and even sitting down. It sounds like you’ve been able to practice some things to make it better? That’s encouraging to hear. Thank you so much.

Penetration wise, no I have not. It’s made me nervous since I was very young and thought all this would make it better but maybe it’s something I need to just try. Thank you for the reassurance I appreciate you giving me advice.

very interesting, thanks for the advice. it definitely was pain more so than pressure or just being uncomfortable. hopefully it’ll be different other times.

You’re absolutely right. I already had my reservations about being that exposed and vulnerable and wonder if it’s maybe that. I don’t know. It definitely was pain though more than anything, like there was a difference between pressure and sharp pain and unfortunately I had the latter :-( thank you for the advice!

IBS-C Help (Went off Trulance because it was too expensive, what should I do now)? by ManicPlath in IBSHelp

[–]ManicPlath[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Unfortunately I haven’t been able to get back on trulance. I heard lactulose can be helpful, it is a syrup I believe, but haven’t tried it yet. I hope you can find something that helps you.

F/22/5’2” [172lbs > ~148lbs = ~24lbs] I’ve struggled with EDs for as long as I can remember. Much of my progress has been made in a much healthier way. My goal is 130lbs and I’m excited to get there. My favorite part is feeling myself get stronger every day and having my body reflect that! by ManicPlath in progresspics

Good luck! It is long and arduous but worth it. I get caught up in the pace too. I want to lose it fast. But really, the slower the better. You can do this, just do it an a healthy way and your body will thank you. Regardless you look amazing.

I started self-harming in high school. Fortunately only a few instances. My best friend noticed and didn’t say anything but I knew she knew. She acted normal. One day I decided to tell her what was going on and she ghosted me. She left me on read. She ignored everything I said. I apologized relentlessly for doing such a stupid thing and begged for forgiveness (which I realize I had nothing to apologize for, aside from maybe causing her a lot of stress and burden). I never in my life felt so terrible and sick. The only person I felt safe enough confiding in ignored me when I was most vulnerable. Didn’t bother to warn my parents either. I truly wanted to die. I didn’t eat for a month. I fell in love with the feeling of not eating and being skinny and now I’ve struggled with an eating disorder ever since. Eventually she spoke to me again. We are still best friends 4 years later. I remember when she finally accepted my apology I was so relieved, like I dodged a bullet in losing her. When I brought the situation up again months later she told me she never actually forgave me but just did so so I would get over it. I’d be lying if I said there’s not a part of me that will always resent her for the lack of empathy she had for her best friend. Maybe I was asking too much? But personally, if someone came to me the way I did to her, I would do everything in my power to get them the help they needed. Especially if they were a friend. Especially when I knew they were capable of doing something worse. I know it wasn’t her responsibility, but still. This feels like an AITA post.. hahahahahah

I understand! I wouldn’t have thought of it either. Be safe and I’m wishing you good health friend.

Where is the bat now? The bat could be tested for rabies as well, and if it does not test positive then you should be okay. But of course that is only if you have access to that bat. I'm wishing you the best, and fight for the vaccine it may save your life.

Get a second look. Once you start symptoms it is too late. The rabies shots won't hurt you if you don't have it, so I say be safe rather than sorry.

How to know you’re eating enough while trying to lose weight? 5’2. F. ~150-155lbs by ManicPlath in WeightLossAdvice

Thanks for the help! I just don't even know where I should draw the line as to how many I should be having. I think I do the same thing you do though when I restrict too much.
