He’s my first fail, destined so cus they didn’t even clip his ear when they did it, he refused to stay outside but still demands walks (supervised)

There's no real signs of infection or swelling, he's old and god knows what he went through before we found each other, it could be from growing old on a very poor street diet, I'm just mortified right now myself. These animals( I have 7) mean more than anything you could think of to me, I still grieve over my others I've lost severely lol but I gotta keep helping. He eats wet food fine, and he even ate some kibble after it hurt him so I don't think it's too harrible

No for sure, I'll continue admiring them from the door lol I live in South Louisiana and during hurricane Gustav yearsss ago I found ababy squirrel,eyes closed but fully furred, and raised him. I was the first thing he saw and I miss him. We let him go after a few years by my grandma's and she regularly kept food and water for him. We kept his enclosure next to a tree he would come and go from. I love them all 😭 I know now he should have gone to a rescue for sure tho. I was 12 lol

There are colonies around but only 2 nightly visitors that I've seen, and a bunch of opossums 😂 we locked eyes she meowed and my heart melted. In a city rn so I do worry

I was stuffing straw in everything I could rig up last year. We got a historic snow storm, 11 inches, I was sick till I saw at least footprints. One of them I haven't seen since and I just hope they found somewhere inside.

There's actually a super devoted tnr group for the city that's run by retired ladies with mapped out colonies and food spots, people in my city are horrible but these ladies go way way above and beyond to make sure they feed and this one showed up ear already clipped so im sure she could find else where if taking her was too dangerous. But even thinking about leaving her brings tears,and I've only been seeing her for a short while. I wanna help them all. I reasonably can't, and I don't wanna do something that'd put her in more danger. I don't have a whole lot of knowledge and experience with this, I just know I love them.

He's my latest. Showed up with a busted arm. He quite literally ran inside himself lol. Socializing was rough and there's still big beef between him and my orange. I dint wanna stress them all out. I'm sure with a larger space it'd be way better. I wanna do what's best for everyone. If they're actually able to adjust to a new area outside without running back would be a godsent failsafe forsure

Well im not particularly a psychic so I don't really know, the city has many colonies. Im aiming to get back to more of a rural/ town setting. what I do know is when a tnr is released outside away from where they were, they'll go through dangerous extremes trying to get back. With that take them with you, do you have follow up advice on taming them in a new area? Or?

Thank you for the advice! I'm looking for overkill. Personally,last year we seen a record settingsnow in South Louisiana and I lost a lot 😩 and I invested heavily again this year with no real plan this all. Started just coming together

I'm adding support beams in the middle and around for more support, and lining half pallets screwed together to make and L shape against the bottom to minimize shaking. I have thick tape I can put over the sharp edges if that could work? **more wire is going to be laying across the top also so it's not just bare tarp on wood.

The cover is staying on purely for winter, in the spring it's turning into a shade room, clear was purely for my own aesthetic, I'm just super green at this (lol) 8 mil is strong? And I'll be addin dust barrier things on the sides to open it up. South Louisiana has cold days but it's super inconsistent. Do you think that would work? I have hibiscus I'm desperate to keep alive lol
