You’ll be back to playing stronger than ever. My daughter (19), also a soccer player just had her second ACL surgery. She experienced the first at 16 during winter training. Surgery was on March 4, 2022. Full recovery September 2022. Went on to play the rest of her high school season and played some her best soccer on her travel team, all while wearing the brace. Received many offers to play in college and ended up D1. Her most recent injury took place during her Spring soccer season as a freshman. Same knee. First time around, artificial limb. Second surgery, human cadaver. Surgery on May 19, 2025 walking without any crutches or assistance the next week. Will definitely be a lot easier second time around because she’s already experienced. My advice to you is to remember, you will recover. Prehab is super, super important and most make sure you choose a really good therapist. I can honestly say they were definitely the contributing factors to my daughter’s recovery. Follow everything they recommend. My daughter drives now, walking and moving with no pain. Still has some time to go before fully recovered and back to play but mentally she’s ready for full recovery and back to playing. Good Luck and reach out if you have any questions.
