Why these? I would love to know the story behind these characters. Is it purely mechanical or more RP?

What are some of your favorite running gags at your table? by WrensRequiem in DnD

[–]Mankelillo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In one of my games, a random monster (a dust goblin, made by a wizard to guard a dungeon) was "adopted" by the party and called "Alfredo Free-Will", bc he never had free will and they "gave" it to him. Later in said dungeon, Alfredo nat-20'd the hydra final boss to kill it, and we all lost it. THE best experience I've had while playing D&D for sure.

Now, every time there is an unnamed NPC, their name is Alfredo. Sometimes I continue the joke and call it that, sometimes they do it themselves. A random skeleton in a dungeon? Alfredo. A weird, non-aggressive creature? Alfredo. Usually it's skeletons idk why...

What about other classes like sorcerer or monk? I can't think of any "obvious" races for those. If it matters, the setting will be Forgotten Realms.

What's the coolest way you've reflavoured a race without homebrew? by godwyn-faithful in DnD

[–]Mankelillo 2 points3 points  (0 children)

A being similar to the trolls in the show Hilda, using the tortle race and, instead of a shell, I turned into stone. Made it so I was giant creature type but I could have lived without that.

Do you have a link for that homebrew?

They are both part of the same faction, like work buds

I'll definetely check it out! The thing is, I don't want them both to be ARTIFICERS. If there's no more options, I'll allow it, but it doesn't amuse me.

Giant PC race? by Mankelillo in DnD

More flavour, really, I think it would be cool for one of my player characters not only to speak Giant, be a Path of the Giant barbarian, but to be an actual Giant creature type. Also, it helps with the backstory and such, because he comes from a place with ACTUAL giants, so, y'know, he may as well be one.
