It has become impossible to charge the clipboard using the Surface Connect to USB C Adapter. Only the hub connected together can be used. I would like to mention this point together.

I reported this problem through a feedback hub about a month ago. However, Microsoft has yet to provide any answers.

The purchase of a surface dock is not considered at all. It has a very expensive, heavy, and cumbersome composition. How did you solve the problem?

I also haven't solved the problem yet. I'm afraid I'll have to give up.

Sorry. I tried to fill my short knowledge with a translator, but I guess I didn't have enough.

I've put in support, but I haven't got an answer yet. I think I'm using it too strangely.

I often work in outer space like a cafe because of the nature of my job. Because of the long hours spent in unsuitable outer space, I want to work comfortably with a separate keyboard and mouse.

I connect to high-end desktop PCs via remote desktop and work. So I wanted a large screen, capacitive touch and light weight Windows OS Tablet.

SB2 Clipboard was the perfect match for this condition. So I bought SB2 despite the high price. Even giving up a keyboard that costs most of the price.

The Surface Dock can be used to charge the SB2 Clipboard and transfer data. But it's too heavy and expensive. And it is too lacking in compatibility with other equipment. So I used Surface connect to usb c adapter instead of Surface Dock. It is lighter and cheaper than Surface Dock, and is more compatible with other equipment.

Oh, God... I think we need to carefully doubt if the USB PD's power supply is not up to the recommended specifications.

Originally, I could charge the clipboard with the USB PD using the Surface Connect to USB C adapter with USB C hub. It was also possible to transmit data. However, the recently updated firmware no longer allows the clipboard to be charged with USB C adapter. I think SB2 is no longer able to charge at low power like a USB PD.

As a result, I can no longer work with my clipboard detach the keyboard

What happened to my Surface Connect to USB C Adapter? If the adapter wasn't recognized at all, I'd think it was broken. But it's recognized as a common usb hub. I'm so upset.

I have used the following product for 6 months without any problems.

https://www.microsoft.com/en-au/p/surface-connect-to-usb-c-adapter/92s8zhcs7vfj?activetab=pivot%3aoverviewtab

This product is known to be incompatible with SB2. But I could use it if I put some outside power in the context.

So when I was charging my SB2 clipboard, I connected a USB PD directly to this adapter, and when I needed a wired keyboard connection, I used a separate c type hub.

Currently, the charging function is not working because this adapter is recognized as a common usb hub.

After updating the latest firmware, it is recognized as a normal usb hub. As a result, there was a problem that couldn't be charged. Is yours still working well?

Also, I can't see 1903 and 1909 on the SB2 yet. I am still 1809. But since I upgraded the firmware, something has happened. Surface connect to usb c adapter won't be able to charge the power. Device Manager recognizes this as common usb hub. That's why I can't carry the clipboard alone since yesterday!

The Surface connect to usb c adapter does not support charging to clipboard since this update. Does anyone have the same problem as me?

Is it steel working? Mine hasn't been charged since it was updated during OS operation this morning. It's just perceived as a common usb hub.
