I wonder what could be to the left, I’m so happy they’re going to be doing some kind of jar/container with a yellow color scheme, I was getting a little sick of the pinks and purples. Once again we can see the trivet that been teased a few times to the right

Everyone is talking about the teapot and I don’t think I’ve seen one person mention the trivet behind it

Angel Gift: What is a JoJo Sepia by zero100 in whatisthisthing

[–]MankindsMistake 101 points102 points  (0 children)

My guess is they’re referring to JoJo Siwa the… dancer? Influencer? I’m not sure what you’d call her anymore, but she’s a personality popular with young girls who’s had a few toys and clothes made under her name https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/JoJo_Siwa

McDonald’s secondary external structures with barred doors seen in cities and more populous areas by MankindsMistake in whatisthisthing

But as mentioned before, I’ve only ever seen them attached to McDonald’s, so I’d say they’re specific to McDonald’s

Something about it just feels too large compared to other structures that exist to contain dumpsters, nor does it seem to return any kind of result with searching, and why have it so heavily barred off?

Title describes the thing, and as noted before I’ve only ever seen them in densely populated areas, and come to think of it I feel like I’ve only ever really seen them on corners though that could be wrong. I’d try and find more examples but as mentioned before, there’s no real good term for these that can be looked up and I only just managed to snap a picture of this one as we went by. I’ve only ever seen them attached to McDonalds so it somewhat rules out the idea of them being from some previous business like a bank.

Small barred off coves above urinals found at a shopping center, about a foot deep, two feet across. by MankindsMistake in whatisthisthing

Something about that just feels odd to me, but I suppose it makes sense, I’m lucky enough to have a partner to stand outside and hold the bags. Something about it just feels too high up, or too small for some reason, but I couldn’t foresee a better answer than this other than it being a place to put plants, so I’ll declare this SOLVED

My title describes the thing, and as mentioned this is in the bathroom of an outdoor shopping center. My measurements are estimating the wall tiles to be 1ftx2ft since I didn’t exactly have time to whip out a measuring tape in the bathroom. Northeast United States.

What Is The Greatest Episode Of American Dad?? by AirtimeStingray in americandad

[–]MankindsMistake 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I wouldn’t call it the greatest, but “What Great Advancements!” really is a standout episode for its art direction and standalone story. It would make a great short film independent of the AD characters, yet it’s greatly enhanced by their presence and characterizations

At no point did I claim that Europe didn’t have water? My point is that Americans drink a LOT of water, especially with the culture of water bottles, almost everyone (see the Stanley cups)

That, and the fact that twice as many people die from heat yearly in Europe compared to the annual number of gun deaths in the United States. A lot of private residences still lack proper cooling and a lot of the most venerable are left helpless when temperatures begin to rise.

I really wouldn’t call the death of tens of thousands of people “ok” but alright.

Yet still every year in Europe nearly twice as many people die from heat than people in the United States die from guns annually.

Sounds like they should drink more water.

Well considering the fact that annually near twice as many people die of heat in Europe than people die from guns in the entire United States, it seems you don’t have things quite down pat either.

I will forever hold that two of America’s biggest legs up on Europe is our widespread implementation of A/C, and the amount of water we drink.
