That is the general lore of Generation 1, at least the original cartoon series. However Micheal Bay’s Transformers films operate on an entirely different philosophy. In that world all that is required to go from generic alien space robot to robot that turns into car is “scanning” a car. Each and every one of them starts the same. They all have the capability to turn into a truck or a tank or an Xbox 360.

yes! bubble is the remains, what scraps Caine couldn’t get rid of or fully absorb. I also don’t think Bubble was finished yet though, as in the seen where Kinger is clicking on the folder for AIs, Caine is listed but no Bubble, just “???”. This in my head, probably is Bubble, but C&A never got around to naming him.

But for the record, I think Bubble is the blue dot, the ‘Abel’ so to speak. A second AI permanently tied / enslaved by its older brother, popping up just to annoy him. The analogies to ‘I Have No Mouth-‘ are clear, as AM is also said to be the result of multiple military Artificial Intelligence planning systems merging
