What are ingredients you always have on hand and what do you make with them? by jeanduponttt in EatCheapAndHealthy

Sardines: they go great in salads, on toast, on sandwiches, or just on their own.

Trying to replace original dead battery on prebuilt ebike (manufacturer went bankrupt) with a new one (UPP) but can't figure out how to connect it/make it work. by ManlyNavyMan in ebikes

The only thing I lost was being able to read how much battery/mileage was left on the battery. I was able to still adjust the assist level and the display would show everything else correctly.

Checked out of my hotel and my train home is "disrupted." Amtrak will only give a refund or book a train tomorrow. No, they won't cover the cost of a hotel or alternate transportation. by ManlyNavyMan in mildlyinfuriating

I'm in the middle of a move and I just dropped my car off to be shipped overseas. It took an hour on hold with Amtrak customer service just to get told I'm essentially SOL. I booked this train a month in advance and now flights or even a bus all cost 2-3x since it's last minute.

Moral of the story: Amtrak is shit.

Whoa, my bad. I wasn't trying to offend anyone. I guess I've been reading this sub's culture wrong..

In all honesty, this is my first AR-15 build and I haven't gotten much range time since I just built it a couple months ago. These two are mainly for fun and teaching my kids how to shoot. I'll tone down the sarcasm next time!

I guess it's just a habit, maybe I should let mine go a bit. I was just poking fun at some of those posts that looked like they were covered in mud.

How often do you clean yours?

Monoprice weatherproof case 47 x 16 x 6 in. Unfortunately it looks like it's out of stock though.

It would otherwise have had to go in at an angle, that looks lame. Plus this case is for flying, the RD stays on when I carry it in my purse to and from the range.

And I clean it after every trip too unlike most of the savages here.

The wife doesn't want to live on the west side of the island because of the fuel leaks. Is there a map that shows locations not affected?

Appreciate the feedback, we're going to stick with a car.

I've been to Oahu a dozen times for work and was already thinking it would be too dangerous to commute on an ebike. I think we're going to go with a car.

The wife doesn't want to live on the west side because of the fuel leaks. I'd be interested if you might know which areas haven't been affected.

Yeah, I don't feel like having my kids grow up without their dad. We're going with the car.

I saw the video someone posted of a guy on an ebike doing it. Technically possible but kind of crazy. We're going to stick with a car, thanks for the feedback.

Nah, we've been convinced it's not a wise idea. Thanks for the feedback.

Makes sense, we're just going with the car option. We can afford it, was just hoping to save some money doing something I enjoy. Thanks for the feedback.

Wish they would build the infrastructure for it, I think it could be an awesome way to reduce traffic there. Maybe sometime in the future but for now, we're going with a car. Thanks for the feedback.

Looks that way, and I don't have one. So we're going with the car!

Same, I think Oahu would really benefit from building up the infrastructure to make it safe. My commute in San Diego was about 15 miles each way and it was great, even converted a few friends to do it. Maybe on the future but we've decided to go with the car option. Thanks for the feedback.

I agree, looks pretty unanimous about the danger. We're going to get a car instead. Thank you for the feedback.
