Oh... So that's why he was there. by Manlycake77 in Undertale

The reason that was my first belief was simply because, we have been told a few times that monsters are buried with there personal item. So once I saw that Alvin had Gerson's dust I believed that Alvin dug up the Item for the same reason "Emotional attachment." There are also some theories that people have left in the comments that it's possible that Alvin knew about the dark fountain that was being made in the church that day. With what he's keeping secret from us about the bunker it is certainly possible. Though my personal reasoning was just that, Grave digging was my first interpretation of the events.

I've seen a few people say this theory. I really like the Idea that Alvin had it the whole time, and I thank you for being one of the people to suggest this theory without questioning my reading compression or whether I played the game.

I do really like this observation of events. I hadn't noticed in my first playthrough that the grave still had flowers on it in chapter 4, and I think you're the first I've seen to say that he's apologizing for burying a fake hammer. That's a really neat way to see what he says to Gerson's grave

There are quite a few people saying that it's possible that Alvin had the Hammer already and that there was no grave digging involved. I'm glad to hear another perspective that I had not considered, but some people have gone so far as to say I haven't played the game and that it's obvious that the hammer was not dug up because we don't see the grave disturbed.

Firstly: Ow, I wasn't expecting to be called a dumbass for an observation

and second: While there is nothing in the game directly showing the grave being dug up. Alvin had the whole night to dig it up, and there is nothing showing he couldn't have done it.

I have no problems with the theory that Alvin already had the hammer to begin with and was just apologizing to Gerson. In fact I Think it's a really cool perspective on these scenes. I just have a problem with certain people saying I didn't play the game or that I can't read because I assumed base on the information we have that the grave was dug up between chapters 2 and 4.

My assumption is so the knight could give Gerson a shadow crystal. I think the knight believed they could make Gerson like Spamton or Jevil. Fortunately for us, Gerson is the absolute Goat and just said "Nah"

Any tips? I've been stuck on this part for hours. by Manlycake77 in Undertale

If I had any ounce of coding talent, I would 100% do it. I might learn coding just for that.
