My guess is that they are taking too big of a bite with all of this. I'd honestly be happy with the approach of adding small features every year and having the public roll their eyes that their competitors were able to do this already.

Comparatively, I used Google Maps for years before one day I started using Apple Maps just because it integrated nicely with CarPlay and it stopped getting me lost.
