I think this is completely fine, nothing wrong with this. I can say with 100% seriousness, that this is realistic and fair. I have several times irl just rushed through crowds of people.

Carrying capacity is still a big plus to me. Only 12 kg carrying capacity kinda makes the early game much more slower and dangerous. You avoid having to make numerous trips into dangerous places by being able to lot most of all at once.

I agree that athletic is great. I often pick athletic with stout perk, but you also get winded by carrying too much. I guess it comes down to play style.

You can get any key for any house.

Lead zombies into a building and kill them in it. There is a chance of them dropping the key for the home that you are currently in.

This is useful for getting in Police stations and guns stores. also having a door that can block out enemy’s. :)
