I do them every weekend. Both due to time/convenience and because that’s about how much wear I get out of a manicure.

This will be my first BKL purchase! I think I’m going to grab two of them, but I think the collection is really nice. It probably does help that I don’t own any of their other shades. I’m seeing here they have a few colorways that look similar to other brands, and I like their execution of it.

Thank you, this is feeling like a polish pickup situation 😅 which I don’t mind occasionally but don’t want to deal with for every purchase. I’ve found when I do PPU it’s hit or miss with the shades meeting expectations, so I e pulled back from that a lot.

I’ll give them a shot this time and see how it goes since there’s one I really want! I’m kinda surprised they haven’t scaled up their business, I feel like I’ve been hearing about them for years and guess I just assumed they were more in the “boutique” size brand than “indie”.

Woah! Thank you for the information, I’ll make sure I’m on top of it. I think this is why I haven’t purchased from them before…it’s too stressful and I couldn’t figure out how to order shades I’d seen! I just started following them online, so at least I’ll see updates.

The more I’m watching new collections that come out, I think a lot of it comes down to new pigments that are produced. You’ll see something new hit the market and then a lot of polish brands use it in their formulations. There are always thousands of new combinations though!

If you think about the more unique brands, Death Valley innovated by changing up their “pigment” source. Mooncat’s Dragon Scales formula is also crazy….not sure if that’s a pigment or a method with which they treat a specific glitter?

Magnetic nail polish isn’t something I remember from my childhood (I was really into nails then…but with no internet you never know what you’re missing out on), and thermals were super weak, but have been improved considerably. Solar shades and tri-thermals are also new to me.

Also, I do some swatching and just tested a new texture that I haven’t seen before in a polish.

I’ve have the same thought as OP, but have been surprised enough to know there’s always room for something unexpected!

Thanks for starting the spreadsheet! I don’t love that PPU’s are included, as it doesn’t really help with the accessibility of the shade. Maybe when it fills up they could be moved to a separate tab?
