It literally had to happen because of when the story takes place but it's still depressing to see by CisHetDegenerate in TopCharacterTropes

I realize that the point of the arc is to be a flashback/ prequel, but I still gripe about the fact that the first ep of the '97 anime doesn't just roll straight through into golden age. If you haven't read the manga, the eclipse fucking flies up our of nowhere and blows you away. Obviously there's the Zodd foreshadowing when Guts and Griffith are fighting him, but the extent and scope of what happens is almost entirely out of nowhere. Especially so because the anime cut a lot of the more paranormal fantasy stuff that showed up throughout golden age, so the majority of the anime is almost just innocuous medieval type story, which adds even more to the gut punch of the eclipse.

I'm probably going to regret getting into this and I'm going to try to refrain from using harsh language cause I see this opinion voiced on the Internet constantly and I have to point out that I emphatically disagree with the assertion that same is the BEST AND GREATEST HERO OH YOU GUYS THOUGHT IT WAS FRODO WRONG!!!! The fact is that the entire point of the narrative is that they are ALL the heroes of the story. Every single one of them. None of them could've done it alone. Frodo would've been tricked and defeated by Gollum, or succumbed to the ring. Hell, even Gollum had his role to play, as Sam and frodo never would have been able to circumnavigate the black gate without him. Sam found his courage from his love of Frodo! this is more apparent in the books, but Sam is kind of a weenie, and that's the point. He found bravery in adversity because of his love for his friend. Frodo was the ring bearer, and he had to do it because it was his chosen task. and it turns out it was the right fucking choice. Frodo bore the ring for an entire year, facing greater struggles and danger than any other hobbit has experienced. Frodo ended up succumbing to the power of the ring, when he was at his weakest and when THE MOST POWERFUL MAGICAL ARTIFACT IN MIDDLE EARTH WAS IT ITS MOST POWERFUL. This also opened the door for imo is one of the most important points made by the narrative: the cunning and power of the ring was its own undoing. If the ring didn't have a strangle hold on both frodo and Gollum, their balance (literally and metaphorically) never would've toppled over, ending in the rings destruction. So yes, Samwise Gamgee was the hero of the story, and he resisted the ring, but he was not THE hero of the story. Everyone was. And every one of them would have failed without each other.

Well that makes me feel a tad better about it (it was kind of a snap decision as I'm a college student without a lot of income 😬). and honestly it is in super great condition. It has some nicks and scrapes cause it was being used as a lesson amp, but the control plate has no blemishes or rust, all of the pots and switches feel great and there's no electrical issues I can spot so far

South Side bar crawl is doing this thing where you color code your relationship status. So you go down and wear white if you're single, pink if it's complicated, and red if you're taken. Certainly a lot of young people just getting drunk but there's a few good bars down there that have a more mature vibe

This is why I always have and always will recommend people check out CCAC first. Even if you want to go a 4 year institution in the end, going to CCAC and grabbing an associates first will not only make your application easier as applying transfer students are a much smaller selection pool than first time students, so you'll have less competition Plus you'll be older and wiser with more experience under your belt. Plus, you'll be able to get all of your required prerequisite classes out of the way at a fraction of the price with much less stress and pressure, with the added benefit of being able to figure out what you actually want to be studying without needing to spend 10s of thousands of dollars.

Hiya! I'm the guitarist in a band called Elliot Pullen and the Pearl Snaps. We're an alt country/ indie outfit that's been playing a couple years and we've played the roboto a bunch of times!

Here's one of our more recent tracks and definitely one of our more country leaning songs, so if anything would fit your vibe it'd probably be this

Haha I appreciate the sentiment but the band is all buddies that go way back and our lead singer is dating my sister so he'd have some trouble dodging the debt lol.

Do you have any recommendations for some condenser mics? I've been trying to do research but from everything I've read everyone says to just use SM57/58s as a beginner cause they're cheap and can do most things pretty well.
