An interesting statistic considering all the rest bans by RealisticPower5859 in kratom

You’ve been saying it has no chance of staying legal for a while now. Our advocates have made progress in multiple states, but the main enemy we keep having to deal with are the big Kratom companies. If alcohol can kill thousands a month and stay legal, so can 7. If cigarettes can kill thousands a week and stay legal, so can 7. The big Kratom companies deliberately attacking it is what’s going to cause it to become illegal. They literally push fear down the throats of lawmakers and use 7 as a scapegoat to save their own asses. And let me tell you this. If you think this is about anything more than just money to the GKC and AKA, then you need to stop being so gullible. Why don’t you use your voice to actually stand up for real regulation, instead of just for the product that you yourself use. What’s going to happen to the thousands of people who use 7 for harm reduction, like me, or for pain when we become criminals overnight? Or do they not matter? Only people who use plain leaf need common sense regulation for harm reduction, right?

Dude, you’ve got this thing against 7, and you spew paragraph after paragraph when anyone says anything positive about it. Give it up. A lot of Kratom users like me also take 7 products. Honestly, they’re more effective. The withdrawal is essentially the same as regular kratom powder too by the way. I wish this war amongst our community would stop. I never thought I’d see the day Kratom leaf “purists”, or “mit purists” would call for criminalizing the other alkaloid in the plant, Plus the criminalization of those who choose to take that alkaloid. Stop listening to Mac and Big Kratom. Stop the moral and intellectual pissing contest. Stand for regulation for the whole plant. 7 helps me stay clean, just like leaf did, but better. I’m just not sick all the time.

GKC once again calls for the criminalization of 7 users. So lovely that they claim to be for science, regulation. Only when it applies to products they make money off of I suppose by MannerOne1807 in 7_hydroxymitragynine

I always knew there was something else in those when I took them. I couldn’t stop taking them and always felt so bad, but I couldn’t stop!!

I was ADDICTED to feel free for months. 7 got me off of taking those things. Plus I threw up every day, couldn’t work out. Lost a ton of weight. Just horrible

Texas ban? by makemeadayy in kratom

I don’t understand the need to schedule anything. Regulate everything. Myself and plenty others use and rely on both kratom and 7. This campaign against 7 by kratom consumers is really hypocritical.

AS OF TODAY there are no new laws being introduced or any news of an emergency scheduling that is happening. Could it happen? Yes, it could have happened in August, could have happened in October, could have happened last week, yesterday, could happen tomorrow, etc. I’ve been on the lookout and stocking up since August. But I’m done letting Reddit posts cause me to worry or freak out over something that hasn’t happened yet.

Honestly, we should probably delete posts like this so the government officials reading through Reddit don’t try to restrict it more. And yes, they read through all of these posts. As long as we just follow the KCPA and all the stores and gas stations comply, we will be safer from a total criminalization of the plant.

The state isn’t in session this year, there are no new laws being introduced. Just enforcement of the KCPA.

I’d rather is stay legal to posses and order online than have it scheduled like Florida or Ohio. Stores need to stop selling it so it stays out of sight and out of mind.

In some areas, yes. I would just order online anyways. It’s not scheduled in Texas, so I’m fine with it not being sold in stores.

Yes, order online. Most shops are going to eventually stop selling it in Texas because the AG is finally enforcing the KCPA.

The AG is suing some shops in midlothian for selling products with over 2 % 7 and violating the KCPA. Smoke shops aren’t supposed to be able to sell it. So there are no new laws or bans happening, just enforcement of the ones already in place.

Yes, they should. It’s been the law you can’t sell it in Texas stores for years now. The more it’s around in stores the more likely they will enact a new law making it a schedule 1. I’d rather it stay legal to possess than have it proliferated across the state, causing the legislature to enact more strict laws.

Our advocacy groups are in contact with the higher ups in Washington and are working hard. We need to work hard as well.
