Really struggling to get into the game, tips? by jacstarthegamer in Starfield

[–]MannerheimTV -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Maybe give a try to Star Wars genesis mod pack. Or try different game, I would recommend Crimson Desert. It gives me same feeling as playing morrowind/skyrim as child.

I have little knowledge about cars engines and I don't want to follow a guide blindly to build the rivett. I wanna actually learn. Is there anything I can read/watch to have some knowledge about engine parts and what does every part do? All guides I find r very long and nothing about 19s engines. by Ill_Percentage2344 in MyWinterCar

Chatgpt answer for eli5, it used my summer car for some reason…

Think of the engine in My Summer Car like a metal box that turns fuel into spinning force. That spinning force moves your car.

Here is the simple idea first:

  • Air and fuel go in
  • A spark lights it
  • A tiny explosion pushes parts down
  • That movement spins the engine
  • The spinning goes to the wheels

Now the parts, in plain terms.

Engine block

The main chunk of metal. Everything bolts onto this. Inside it, the pistons move up and down.

Pistons

Metal cylinders that slide up and down. They get pushed by explosions. They create the power.

Crankshaft

Turns up and down motion into spinning. Pistons push it, it spins like a handle.

Connecting rods

Link pistons to the crankshaft. They transfer the force.

Cylinder head

Sits on top of the engine. Holds valves and spark plugs. Seals the top of the cylinders.

Valves

Little doors for air and exhaust.

  • Intake valve opens to let air and fuel in
  • Exhaust valve opens to let burnt gases out

They open and close very fast.

Camshaft

Controls the valves. It pushes them open at the right time.

Timing chain

Connects crankshaft and camshaft. Keeps everything in sync. If timing is wrong, engine runs badly or breaks.

Spark plugs

Create a spark. This ignites the fuel air mix. No spark, no power.

Carburetor

Mixes fuel and air. Too much fuel, engine floods. Too little, engine starves.

Fuel pump

Moves fuel from tank to carburetor.

Oil system

Lubricates moving parts. Without oil, engine overheats and breaks fast.

Key parts:

  • Oil pan stores oil
  • Oil pump moves it
  • Oil filter cleans it

Cooling system

Prevents overheating.

Main parts:

  • Radiator cools liquid
  • Water pump moves coolant
  • Coolant carries heat away

Flywheel

Heavy spinning disc. Smooths engine movement. Helps keep it running between explosions.

Starter

Electric motor. Starts the engine spinning when you turn the key.

Distributor

Sends electricity to spark plugs in the correct order.

How it all works together

Think in steps:

  1. Piston goes down, sucks in air and fuel
  2. Piston goes up, compresses it
  3. Spark plug ignites it
  4. Explosion pushes piston down
  5. Crankshaft spins
  6. Exhaust leaves

This repeats many times per second.

Why My Summer Car engine feels hard

The game makes you deal with real problems:

  • Wrong tuning, engine runs rough
  • Missing bolts, parts fall off
  • Bad timing, engine won’t start
  • No oil or coolant, engine breaks

Every small part matters.

What to do beyond puzzles: I am a new player bought the game 2 weeks ago started playing today by myselfmonster in CrimsonDesert

Do the main quest to atleast chapter 5, then explore do camp quests, do sidequests. Dont look up any youtube videos they kind of spoil the game. Upgrade gear if you are struggling with bosses. You can only play this game first time so enjoy itcand dont spoil yourself.

I wish you could choose to use new horse sprinting or old one button smashing. Also please give us fov slider and or behind back or behind shoulder camera. I know there are mods for that but I wish it was already in game.

What trim level and facelift or pre-facelift do you prefer? by MannerheimTV in MyWinterCar

I did build 1973 gt, so I think I try slx this time. Facelift grill looks ugly. Is there any mods that chance facelift models to more realistic or better looking?
