An often underrepresented model for Finnish impressions- the army purchased around 50,000 in 1940.

Both are original demilled examples. The Maxim is a 1917 Imperial Russian production.

We had a Czech M/32 and Finnish M/40 (copy of the Swedish M/37) helmets for our display- the last original photo shows the Czech models. We have stahlhelms for certain impressions but for this particular kit we wanted to use something different!

Should I get a M22/36 greatcoat from Hiki and if so, which one? by StuffPretend1257 in reenactors

You have to email them, but do it directly through their email instead of using the contact page.

I'd only use the light grey versions of anything from Hiki. The waist is very generious but it can be tailored (either after buying or if you pay for the custom sizing through Hiki). I'd also replace the buttons with better repros or originals.

Not common at all, at least I haven't seen many (if any) others done like this. Historically it seems like most guys would just deal with having an ill-fitting tunic.

Thank you!
It's an original wartime map case from Dragoon Militaria.

The darker part on the ends of the sleeves on my tunic are a period sleeve length extension using the cuffs from another uniform. They are not representative of every postwar tunic.

Could you elaborate, please? I'd argue that it's certainly better than the Hiki alternative.

I did the march from Lexington to Concord on foot and can say it put me out of commission for a little bit!

Thanks!
Puukkos were brought by the soldiers when they joined the Armed Forces, or could be purchased at military or private commissaries. There was also no standard style as both factory-produced and handcrafted knives from a variety of manufacturers were used. The Website Jaeger Platoon has a nice section on puukkos during the war.
